PIC system brings players down + deletion of characters

With the new PIC system implemented by Nexon, players are now a bit safer from account hackers and **** cracker. It allows users to make longer "pin" and enable the usage of both letters and numbers. The down side to the PIC system is that you can use it to delete characters. Seomthing is very wrong here... Ever since PIC started, I changed all my info on my bishop. My friends thought I was being a jerk and didn't want to lend them my bishop for leeching. I think PIC system is the reason behind some lvl 200s being deleted out of the blue. Today, I accidentally clicked on the delete character option and was about to put my PIC. I had a feeling that I clicked the wrong thing so I logged out. One of my friends had the same experience as me except she actually deleted her merchant mule. She lost about 3bil in equips and QUIT maplestory. Nexon should do something about the character deletion process so careless and eager (to play ms) people like me don't make stupid mistakes. Maybe stick with the old birthday-2-delete?

Pay attention next time to what you do. People end up deleting their characters cause they're careless and don't know how to slow things down, they all wanna rush onto Maple Story, lag while the screen changes to the character select and sometimes wind up clicking the wrong tab.

But it asks you if you're sure that you want to delete the character. You'd be pretty stupid/in a rush to actually make that mistake.

Even if you did enter your PIC and press ok, you'll be prompted with a confirmation message on whether or not to delete the account. So i dont understand the problem with that. No offence but your friend must have been extremely stupid or careless not to notice the confirmation box.

i dont pity people for doing stupid things because they arent careful enough lol not really nexons problem just have to control your own urge to get on fast and do 1 or 2 steps more it wont kill you...

I agree with you. I mean, it's easy to subside that error by just double clicking but I mean, that was way, WAY too close. Some people might not pay attention and delete their character and just totally put a waste to hundreds of hours of playing time and accomplishments. I think you should double click just to be safe. Of course, I think you already knew it. I think they should have the old birthday thing too. @Those idiots that tell him he's stupid for rushing- It doesn't matter if he's rushing or not. It's just not reasonable for taking unnecessary risks. People shouldn't be punished just because they're eager.

I agree. I like clicking the "select character" option on the side. Since the PIC thing came in, I started double clicking my character. Logging in shouldn't be a risk...
