| I saw someone spell cynical as 'sinnical' on a test essay before. Life can always get worse, and people can always get worse. |

| It's a hard time for your generation, what with your iPods, social networking, free health care, and 80 year life expectancy. You sure have it rough. Now go wallow in your big mac meal and tight jeans. Damn young'uns |

Now go wallow in your big mac meal and tight jeans. Damn young'uns [/quote] I wish to contrast this post. The current generation will lead miserable lives. The typical iPod headphones burrow into the ear and assault the eardrum, so most of them can enjoy having hearing problems before they're 40. Social networking will lead to less actual socializing, which will lead to a future of miserable people unable to cope with mundane social situations. When they aren't being miserable shut ins, they can enjoy forking over large portions of their paychecks to pay for whatever mountain of debt their country has leapt into, as well as their free health care. Their longer lifespan combined with medical advances means that they are less likely to die from eating their McDonald's, and almost destined to die a miserable, slow, humiliating death at the hands of some degenerative disease like Alzheimer's, but at least their families won't lose their homes paying for the medical care. I guess that's the only good thing to come out of it. Enjoy your futures! |
