Money is given for education, healthcare, military, do you believe that space exploration deserves proper funding?

We only have about 2 billion years left on earth until it moves too close to the sun to support life. I don't see why anything should be given precedence over space exploration.

People are wasting their money on stupid things anyway. Why not something that'll save billions of lives in the long run?

No point in exploring space when we have no hope of getting to other inhabitable planets Heck, we can't even get outside our own solar system

No. It think it's completely pointless.

The faster you travel the slower time moves, so humans can travel extremely far if we can build the technology to go fast enough.

No, not yet anyway. Maybe when we fix earth we can start exploring outer space.

what's the point of existing as a species if we don't try to learn about the universe we are a way for the cosmos to know itself

Well space exploration has unlocked various technologies that would not have been unlocked if it weren't for space funding. Such as satellites.

[/quote] It would require at least the speed of light, which is almost impossible for big spaceships Humankind will destroy itself before such technology will be discovered
