As one of the people which didn't got full swing before crit i can give you some reasons and some advices why does combo critical helps more than full swing. Now first of all lets see how both of the skills work when maxed: 1 full swing doing 72% dmg twice double swing and 274% dmg triple. Whats the mean? Well different between level 1 full swing and level 20 full swing is 76% dmg total from double and 76 from triple. 76 + 76 =152% dmg total(correct if worng). While now lets see what crit can do: If u get 100 combos when crit is maxed u have double dmg mean is u got level 1 full swing make it: 76% * 2 = 152 and this is only from double. If u did the math when u got combos 100+ ONLY with double swing u do the dmg u could do with maxed full swing . Let's add triple 274 * 2 = 548% Again if your math is right u notice how higher it is. Of course maxed crit with 100+ combos not work at all but 70% of the time still do more dmg than maxed full swing without combo crit. Yes i know hard to keep combo but at level 70~80 u most likely be in maps very easy to keep combos. Summery: Its worth maxing crit first BUT only if u your train spot is easy combo keeping. For exmple I stayed at lower ascent at 70~80 and could reach 700+ combos with really no problem and yes more than 1 time ( alot more than 1 time at least i could get 200+) If u think this is right but still want full swing u can do this build: 70: 1 full swing 71:This is whatever u see fun for you ( i chose to get 1 peril/fenrir/penril 1 toss and 1 crit) 72: by this level get crit to level 3 and rest on full swing. 73:from the moment u get 3 crit just each level add 2 crit while add one full swing. Btw all this thread can be mistake so please no flames if i am worng. Edit: It also add 10 att and some def from combo abilty. Edit 2: its also make body pressure stronger( i do with it like 2000 more dmg).

Well i didn't stopped using smashes. I used them a lot less times though.

Well, I apologize, but your english is atrocious. IMO, the proper build is: 1 FS, 20 crit, 19 FS, 20 Snow Charge, 20 SKB, 30 Penril, 30 Toss, whatever else you want. (booster, final charge, combat step, rolling spin) Penril before SKB or Snow Charge serves no purpose. Snow Charge is better damage, and SKB is actually useful. There is not a huge difference between keeping combo at 100 and utilizing crit, and blowing your combo on Penril. I don't advocate using Penril at all until 20+, because the damage gained by blowing your combo is countered by the damage lost on having to rebuild your combo and missing crits. For the people who combo smash like it's going out of style, 20 FS before 20 Combo is preferred because they don't yet want to get out of the mindset of having to save your combo to 100+, and just want to smash smash smash. If you mob on enemies that actually die to smash, it's useful, but by the time you get to level 75-80, you shouldn't be fighting those enemies any more. From that point until you get 20+ Penril, it's better to save your combo and use it for crits, then blow it on Penril and/or Smash. From experience, Crit before FS is better damage, if you're able to let go of the routine of smash smash smash. 1 FS will allow you to build your combo 33% faster, without needing 20 skill points, and crit will allow you more consistently improved damage if you can keep your combo up. Some people have poor control and cannot keep their combo up, even on maps like WR, Jesters, whatever.... so they opt for FS which is always good regardless of your combo.
