my thoughts on nexon charging for evan books

Nexon came out and charged us around 6k nx for three extremely important evan skill books: Magic Guard, Magic Booster, and Critical Magic. The surveys as well,(though we benefited from them) were used for nexons sole money making purposes, just this time, they thought of us a little. Now, since they charged us real money for these mastery books, why not put evan 4th job skillbooks in the cash shop too? I mean, they would earn some money, and people like me who aren't exactly bathing in mesos would be helped out for all the trouble of buying a MAGIC GUARD skillbook, a skill that normal mages can access for free. Why didn't nexon do this? Is this just a stupid idea or is nexon too selfish to help us out for once?

Idk what they're thinking? Like maybe they have a reason behind all the to what us seems like them being a horrible company that doesn't care. Like maybe this is keeping them from going broke? Or they're just a bunch of d0uches, who knows lol?

They are better at maintaining combat arms by far, You can play CA without nexon harassing you about nx benefits.

MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST MAKE A NORMAL MAGE THEN. Seriously, if nexon doesn't make money, you don't play their game. Stop betching about it just for once! Everyone's looking at Nexon as though they're SUPPOSED to give everything away for free.

I would imagine that Nexon has a sound business case for putting the books in the cash shop. They don't run the game for fun (though I'm sure many of the employees enjoy what they do). They run the game to provide a fair return to their investors. A decision like this likely isn't made by a developer, it likely came from higher up on the management food chain after careful financial analysis. If I had to guess- It may also be a limited experiment to test different revenue streams. They've obviously decided to experiment with making money from those survey/advertising sponsors. This may have simply been a way to encourage people to do those surveys/offers. Perhaps those offers pay Nexon a graduated rate like Amazon's affiliate program does (e.g. $.05 each for the first 100 people, $.10 for 101-500, $.25 for 501-1000, $1 for 1000+), so it benefits Nexon to have a bunch of people do it all at once. There's always a fine balance between Nexon giving the players everything they want and Nexon needing to pay it's employees, bills, and investors. Nexon's probably just experimenting to see what the user community will support, like any well run business does.

This is not a "free to download" game where you have to buy game NECESSITIES with real money. Let's face it and stop BSing around, you can't have an Evan with level 5 magic guard. It will fail. You will have to quit until you buy the MG skillbook from the CS.
