Why do so many people hate America?

I am an American, and I don't understand why so many people hate the country I live in. Sure, it's nowhere near perfect, but then again, neither is any other country. We have done many bad things, but we have also done many good things, like help win world war 1 and world war 2. Why then do so many people outside of the United States hate America? I was just wondering.

Being that America is home to people of nearly 95% of the world's ethnicities, how can America be ethnocentric? Being ethnocentric means focusing on the ethnic group of one's country, but how can Americans do this when America contains so many hundreds, possibly thousands of ethnic groups?

For me it comes down to a few points 1) America like to get involved in the affairs of other countries when clearly they should be focusing on their own country. 2) Their education system (specifically middle/highschool) is almost a joke.

People don't forget what you did back then just because you choose to sugar coat it, and also you don't need to know what something is to be it, thus how ignorance is born, Even now our government was trying to change a nation that does not want to change just because they think their system is better...and yes i am an american.

They saw black people as lesser people, painted white people by god, dark skinned devils. If they were cruel enough to whip them to work faster and sell away their family, they wouldn't hold back to kill a black person. Remember, this is for both England and America, England ended slavery earlier though, but that doesn't mean that they weren't as cruel. EDIT: The US is the only kind of place that a Black man would be shot by a White man. If you know a bit about history before the Civil War in the US, you'd know why.

You are stereotyping however, and you most likely do not know what this means in relation to how often you fail to realize you are doing it. To stereotype is to say all (race/country of origin) are _____. Mainly, to generalize a whole ethnicity based on personal experience/ media captions.
