Ever since word of the KMS Balance Patch came out, the vagueness of one skill has left me curious about its new effectiveness. As the title states, I'm wondering what the new Thunderbolt attack range is. I've waited for almost four months now in hopes that someone would post its new range, but all I've ever got was "The attack range of Thunderbolt has been improved." It was great hearing something like this, but I've read about three months ago that it was only improved by 20 pixels... which sounds a tad bit unrealistic and useless if true. Can anybody confirm or look into this? I've searched it up on Google many times by now, and I'm tired of getting plane fighter or old, ambiguous info that I already know as search results. Thanks in advance!

I've wanted to know this for a long time. Based on what I've tested with, Thunderbolt's horizontal range is comparable to that of Ice Strike's at 150% range. While its vertical range is less than that of Ice Strike's at 110% range. The range improvement doesn't have to be much. All it truly needs is an increase to the vertical range that is high enough to allow an I/L to hit both platforms in Ghost Ship 5 from one of the steps. And 20 pixels might do just that.

You're right, the only range that needs to be improved is the vertical (though it would be nice if it had Flame Pillar's range D: ). I actually was trying to find out its new range so I could determine whether my lightning wizard could hit the monsters while standing on the middle of the stairs in Ghost Ship 5 too. Granted there are other ways of training, that place really doesn't require any movement, and thus it saves a lot of HP potions. As Thunderbolt's attack tends to make the user be in the center of a full mob to work at its height, it becomes somewhat of a potion burner. I've tried many ways in hopes of figuring out if its new range if it really is increased by 20 pixels; however, I'm certain that the way of measurement that I'm using is wrong (apparently pixels can be different in size), and I also can't find any gradual slopes or platforms that can help me determine its maximum vertical range. As that information would be crucial for me to determine its overall attack range, I'm unable to continue investigating properly. I'm wondering though, if Ice Strike 120% range can hit the levels on the platforms in Ghost Ship 5, then 20 pixels could be enough if what you say is true, but there are too many uncertainties for me to be definite on this. Maybe it would be best if we asked someone for WZ file extractions... but I don't know anybody who can do that. I would personally ask Spadow, the source of all the information we got, but, I'm worried that he won't see my request. Do you think we'll be stuck and tantalized with this lack of information longer? I sure hope not.... D:

I've also been wondering, is there a list of the improvements for i/l mages in the balance patch? I know I saw it somewhere on basil, but I can;t find it anymore.

I'm not sure it will help much. All the lists I've seen have only said "The attack range of Thunderbolt has been improved." :/
