I'm going into freshman year, and taking Computers, Band, X-Country, Track, Track and Field, French II, and Advanced Algebra II w/ Trigonometry. (English, Physics, and History are not optional.) Planning to enroll for AP Physics and regular Biology in 10th grade, AP Chemistry and AP Calculus BC in senior year. Dropping History in senior. Is this a good plan for getting into MIT? The other options are AP Biology and AP Statistics.

Dam, how many classes do you pick? I have 4 mandatory classes (Algebra 2 Honors, English 1 Honors, Biology 1 Honors and AP Human Geo), HOPE (P.E), Spanish 3 and an elective. (Info Tech.)

I was so close to asking what x-country was, Lol. My senior year is Physics Honors, Calc AP, Stats AP, Gov/Eco AP, Comp Sci AP, English College Now, Football. If I actually paid attention and worked hard in my classes, I might have gotten accepted into MIT. (Or if I even finished my application, hahahahaha)

Should be fine. As far as MIT goes, everyone applying has a perfect GPA so course selection is especially important. Challenge yourself but not at the cost of your GPA. Find a nice balance. Oh, and begin attending MIT Summer camps and do things you find interesting. There's nothing MIT likes more than a geek(as in odd interests) with their name on his resume.

Algebra 2 (A recap of what I was taught in grade school) Forensic Science -One hour of free time for lunch- Religion 3 (Nap time!) Creative Writing (No description needed)
