Mages not needing zhelms?

I'm just thinkin, the marbas hat kinda makes zhelms unimportant for mages. I mean, the str/dex does nothing, if my knowledge is correct,t the acc isnt needed, and avoid is... meh, as is defense. Only benefit i see is the luk, which you may need to wear something, but you could get that in other ways, an like, 3-4 more int possibly. Unless im missing something i'm thinking my noob mage could use a marbas untill i get a more easily available scarl hat or something. thoughts?

A zhelm is optional for ANY class, you don't specifically need it. It's just that it really helps. For mages, I would think that marbas is a much cheaper alternative, but seeing as mages often save more than other classes, some might choose to buy a zhelm.

Yup dont get a zhelm its a waste of money! by the timoe you need any luk if your going low luck you can get a targa

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. No point if you're not going to use the LUK and think the INT bonus is not that important. It gets important later, but I guess that's what Targar hats are for.

zhat is only if godly(18int) 6int more than the lvl 25hat in other words u pay 110mill+ for 6int or u can get 12int for free how can u compare

Nah i never use zhelms, it looks ugly and it only adds 15 m.att (which is pretty useless)

The marabas hat came out when I was level 41. I did all of the quest but I couldn't get into the boss so I didn't get the hat. But I will skip Z helms and use targa because I want to cap my luck at 120 and I need 165 luck to equip the Non-Stubby endgame weapon I want to use.

I couldn't get Marbas, since I was already level 65 when the quests came out. So I'm guessing I should skip the Z-helm and go straight to Targa?
