The best Generation of pokemon games.

My friend and I are having a debate on which generation of pokemon games were the most fun to play. Which ones did you guys fine to be the best? EDIT: I say 2nd gen he says 1st gen. EDIT 2:I have these categorized by region. 2nd Question: If Nintendo were to release another remake of 1st gen for the DS would you get it?

I think the third because there was such a long period between gen 2 and gen 3 so when it came *BAM* Sooo many new things, awesome graphics (Compared to gen 1 and 2), Contests, Dive *drool*, New terrain =D

fr/lg are not first gen and hg/ss are not second gen. they are third and fourth gen respectively. either way the best gen was fourth.

2nd one was best to play, because you got to go through 2 generations. I personally think 3rd generation (Ruby/Sapphire) was HORRIBLE. Pokemon wise and gameplay wise.

I loved 2nd Generation & 4th Generation.

I love 2nd gen. The Pokemon designs are nice, gameplay is really good since you can go to Kanto. Many other details made it more cool.

[/quote] I think she was going by region release(kanto johto etc.) I like 2nd Gen the best thats exactly why i bought HeartGold, i didnt buy pearl or diamond

I love the 2nd and 3rd gen. Though I find the pokemons look becoming weirder and weirder each passing gen. o.o

2nd Generation, though it only beats the first by a little bit. 2nd gen. had a better storyline overall, and generally everything about it was better.. But Pokemon Yellow gave me missing no. Which I used to crash all of my friends' games. Good times.

2nd gen had cool-looking Pokemon, but 4th gen's storyline was awesome because you had to save the world by preventing the disruption of time or space.

2nd was epic in my opinion because: 1. It was the first in color. 2. Two regions instead of one. 3. It was the first "new" pokemon game (not counting yellow) I spent many hours of my childhood on silver and crystal. Too bad I lost them I thought 3rd was good because of the transition to GBA. 1st is also awesome because pokemon was such a new concept. I like 4th the least (not counting HG/SS) because the game just felt slower and boring.
