So now you can delete your characters using your PIC. Or rather, HACKERS can delete ALL OF YOUR CHARACTERS if they can figure out your PIC, username, and password. They've done it before. You could be next. Discuss.

It is an extremely stupid feature. Under the circumstances that one DOES get a hold of anothers PIC, the hacker can totally destroy the persons account...

Well, I always thought the birthday thing was dumb. It wasn't a ton of security - discovering your birthday is NOT hard, with all the smegaing that goes on about happy birthday and blahblah. It's also a standard piece of information for most websites, not something super secret secure. It should be 100% doable to protect your account with just a password, honestly. WoW does it, and so does every mmo/game I have EVER played in my extensive time of playing. Maplestory is the ONLY game that has/had a pin/pic system. Instead of making it the player's responsibility to have fallbacks in case the security is compromised, they should come up with a more reliable system to help prevent hackers, rather than asking a third party program (GameGuard/HackShield) to do all of it for them. Nothing wrong with them, just.. more is always better. Each game is unique. Edit: Forgot about the hack protection thingie changed. Silly me. Honestly, if 99% of games can do it, Nexon should be able to as well.

Don't give out your e-mail, they can hack you through that. That's how they got me. If you still needed a birthday to delete I would still have my Marksman, but no, they had to change requirements.

You know, it's easier for hackers to get your birthday than it is for them to get your PIC. It's true that many hackers will delete your characters now, since they need the PIC to hack you anyways, but overall the PIC is more secure. If the character deletion system was based on your birthday alone (PIC AND birthday wouldn't be a bad idea), a hacker could delete your character with just your ID, Pass, and a bday cracker. The PIC also reduces the chance of being hacked in the first place, since it essentially can't be cracked...
