Maplestory deletes itself?

I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but when I tried to get on maple story today, I click the icon and it takes me to the maple story website but it's making me redownload it? Why did my installation of maple story disappear? Redownloading it will take several hours because my connection is pretty slow...Anyone know what the problem is?

Noooo, you guys do not understand. I played maple yesterday, and the link redirects me to the site. The maplestory file completely disappeared. It's not installed on my computer.

You'd have to dload it again anyways, so just do that.

Go to AVG interface, Click Resident Shield, Click Exceptions, Click 'Add Exception' and add nexon, Click Apply. Voila~

i got the same problem as well but i fix it by just pressing MMSetup v.80 then i press Repair and wait for it to be done it works for me o.o

@enliight: My settings were set like that before maple story disappeared so I'm not sure that's the problem @ikeyblade: I'll try that, thanks

Just to let you know, it said in the v.84 patch that the only way to launch ms is from the site. but yes, you can manually run the gamelauncher.exe thing. However, clicking maplestory.exe brings you to the site which was in the patch notes. So, if you've patched maple, clicking maplestory.exe should bring you to the site. However, it that exe is missing, just patch it or manually go to the site.

[/quote] I usually play maple story by starting it up directly from the site, but I tried to manually do it because the the site brings up the agree/disagree thing that pops up before installing maplestory instead of starting up the game. The thing is, I got on my computer and my installation of maplestory just totally disappeared. That's the problem. I just want to know why maplestory uninstalled or deleted itself somehow or whether or not one of my anitvirus software did it.

Download mapelstory if you can't find it on your hard drive and put maplestory in the exceptions list on AVG.

I have AVG. Are all your files missing? Or is it just the Themida file? I'm not so sure about ad aware but that seems highly improbable.

Check and make sure that your AVG has been updated to 9.0 because MapleStory was deleted for me also because it was detected as a virus threat.
