Differences Between Lukless Evan and Magician?

Is there a difference between being a lukless Evan and a lukless magician or do they both use the same formulas? Basically, I know the "cons" of being lukless, but is it the same "cons" of being a lukless magician or are the more or less the same....

evans = type of magician so obviously they are the same

I think the only difference is that the dragon equipment makes up for the DEF the Lukless mage doesn't have.. But that's about it.

So its still not worth it to add luk? Most magician guides make it seem like "lukless" is always the only way to go... does this apply to Evans too?
