So if you don't buy the skillbook from the cash shop at levels 30-40, can you buy it and put the sp in magic guard when you're like level 60 or so?

No because of a glitch that disallows you to add points into MG after Lv 40.

If you don't have access to NX cards, better use that MTS. xD I personally had MTS'ed Maple Points saved up, but blew it on these Shades, some SoKs, and a hair coupon for my Evan (got the Evan haircut. It's nice). xD And there are those surveys you can take part in for some free points too (the ones on the Nexon site only caters to US+Canada, so yeah...). xD
