I plan on taking these classes next year: 1-AP College Algebra 2-AP English III 3-AP US History 4-AP Biology II 5-AP Psychology 6-AP Sociology 7-Student athletic trainer Alot of people have told me that's too many AP classes to take all at once and I won't be able to handle it. Especially since I plan on being a student athletic trainer and that'll take up most of my afternoon time. Do you think that's too many AP classes to take at once?

Are you planning on becoming a social sciences major? Why take two social sciences?

That's far too much. I only took four at the same time.

yPOS1I wish my school offered AP psych. That really depends on how hard your AP classes are. It varies depending on the teacher.

If you plan on doing that as a career, then don't bother taking AP English or Social Studies courses. Most colleges, that are IV League, and SUNY don't even take AP credits, unless you plan on using them as elective courses in your sophomore year. Honestly, I would stick with the AP Sociology, Psychology, College Algebra, and Bio and drop the rest. Those are what you need and will help you in your career. Also: Only take AP courses, if you are genuinely good in the subject. Drop out the AP Courses you are not the best in even if it is ones I suggested you stick in. Its worse getting a 2 on the AP and a low grade in AP, then getting a high grade in Regents.
Jaacckk : Are you planning on becoming a social sciences major? Why take two social sciences?
I'm planning to become a pharmacist. The reason why I'm taking two social sciences is because I heard it'll look good on your college applications, especially if you're planning to major in the medical field, and it's a total blow-off class.

That's too many. Originally I was planning on taking 4 next year, but I dropped one and now I have 3. AP tests are hard, you need to devote a lot of time to each class if you are planning on passing the test and getting the credit. It's important to take a few AP classes, but taking 6 is way too excessive. This year I only had 1, AP US History, (only one they offered for juniors), and I've been studying a lot for the test which is coming up in the next few weeks.

US history isn't that necessary because you're plan on becoming a pharmacist.

I'm taking 4 IB classes and 1 AP next year. And at my school, Psychology and Sociology are one semester. I'd say if you can't handle them all at once or are unable to devote enough time for each, drop some of them.
Its a complete waste, if the colleges you are looking into, do not accept the credit unless you get a 4 or above. Only a select few colleges take 2-3. Im planning on going to Med, and the colleges I want to go to only want 4s. I dropped out of AP Gov and AP English Lit for next year since an admission office of NYU told me, its not worth taking APs that will not assist you in your career. It can potentially damage if you don't do well on those APs, that you don't need.
