Today I killed my first bf, countless deaths and took like 2 hrs (lol), and an apple. What I did was: SI+booster then barrel and go in, then I would barrage and cork until bf was in the corner. It would be alright for a while, just barrage, walk left while charging cork, then cork into nf and repeat. I would eventually stuff up when re buffing or due to a hitting a wraith with barrage and bf on top of me when barrage ends, causing me to die. DS is a non no as well, because bf would still move while I was still in the air and it would cause me to die. Could anyone give me tips on how to BF? Dealing with wraiths, bf frames, rebuffing etc.? I want to do a bit better next time. =S

I can show you in game if you want, but here's some tips. - Pinning/killing BF on left or right side is different so pick one, and practice that one for awhile first. - When having just found a BF, do not start Barrage/Cork to pin; only use Cork to pin it. - When rebuffing, do it one at a time, and not after a Barrage; do it after Cork, and of course not on BF. - Barrage/CSB, Barrage/Blast, Barrage/DU, and just Barrage, are the only combos you can use at BF for now. I don't suggest using DU until you can take a hit. - While Energy Charge is up, unless you're bent on using Barrage at BF 100% the time, hold Energy Drain. Drain > Barrage/Cork in DPM till a higher LV. Barrage. - When you see a Wraith: between you and BF, on BF, or on you, use CSB till nothing is in the way. - Make sure you're not too close before using Barrage, as you probably know, Barrage moves your character while the animation is in progress. - Be sure BF is shoved into the corner, and not near it, this could kill you after a Barrage--> walking left w/CSB charging combo. So here are the steps on how I kill BF in the right corner of the map: 1. Make sure BF is pinned correctly. 2. Walk left until a you consider a suitable distance after Barrage's animation is available. 3. While walking charge up CSB, if you're doing this properly, CSB will be completely full when you're at the perfect distance for a CSB to pin BF, and a Barrage, without having to walk left. (it's kind of hard to explain) 4. Use Energy Drain until Energy Charge is out. This is not only faster, but holds off KSers as: Drk, NL, BM, and Shads. I've only had those classes try to take BF away from me while my charge was up, and none of them could even hit BF. 5. Repeat steps 2 ~ 4. Step 1 should be happening or else you can't even get to the other steps.

I'd also like to add on that when you get a higher level Barrage, you can stop using Energy Drain and substitute in Energy Blast. It was a trick from TakeBacker (I believe...) where after a Barrage, you'd wait a split second and then cast Energy Blast. Just hold down Barrage afterwards and repeat. Energy Drain is nonetheless the best way to stop KS'ers. Once you get Demolition high enough also, you'll find that spamming is rather...nice

But I'll add just in case TS gets ST/Demo early for show; if you spam Demo, you have to have it pinned deeply into the corner or BF will just charge at you.

What's the point of mentioning demo when it's useless unless level 22+?

When wraiths are near you,jump back,corkscrew,jump back,corkscrew until they're in your range of corkscrew and when they die. As for your buffing problem,barrage,jump back+ buff in mid air,cork it back into wall,and barrage For pinning just keep corking it to the right. Here's a little something something extra I do. When energy charge is up,I jump back,energy drain in mid air,jump forward torwards bigfoot with energy drain in mid air,and barrage and repeat. Jump back drain,jump forward drain,barrage. Also this can be used for energy blast too. Barrage,jump back,blast,jump forward blast.

Okay, what level of barrage would be enough so that I wouldn't have to drain? Also, I was thinking of getting 1 ST and 1 Demo next level so bf would be a bit easier, or is this the wrong thig to do?

[/quote] The other poster mentioned ST/Demo; so in case TS gets early ST/Demo for show, he won't get trampled doing so. Soloing BF at 12x is slow exp either way, being mostly for fun/practice, so if he chooses to get ST/Demo he'll probably use it. I didn't mention anything about Demo, but I thought I'd just mention a tip to him. EDIT: I just noticed the TS did post something about ST/Demo. @Raaikage: I personally got it at LV. 123 after I had one point in Barrage/SI, three points in DS, and one point in TL. I got it simply because I thought it'd be fun to have.

[/quote] If the TS wanted just a video, he could have searched up a bunch of them on YouTube. He asked for tips so I gave him some. That video is of a level 135 soloing BF, not a level 120. The TS is beginning to start hunt BF, I gave him the simplest way of doing it without dieing; the Bucc in the video doesn't use CSB. TS should be using Drain, not Barrage 100% of the time with level 1 Barrage.
