What the hell, seriously, Nexon? I think they just went too far this time with their greediness. That and the fact that they are now making most items untradeable just so we can buy Karma Scissors. This is beyond unbelievable.

If you want the benefits of a free game, you gotta pay for it.

MMan222
DawnJunior : If you want the benefits of a free game, you gotta pay for it.
This is going too far, though, if what people are getting mad about is truly the case. There's a big difference between having to pay to get some nice added benefits like easy 2x exp or extra meso-makers and having to pay (a lot) to max integral job skills; and for a brand-new class that Nexon's been pimping all over their website... Imagine when this inevitably brings new people in to try the game out, only for them to find out they can't max one of their more important skills because they need to pay $4 for it. That's good grounds for quitting, right there. You would think the rest of the game functions similarly.

you don'e HAVE to pay. you are buying mastery books. not skill nooks. common mistake. the books in the cash shop automatically master the skill, ONCE YOU HAVE IT meaning that you get the skill and use the book to master it. there are 10 job advancements for evans for a reason. 2 skills for the first few, then 4, then 5,6,7, until you have like 10 pages of skills. no NX required. Hope this helps. =3

Research your stuff before you rant about dumb crap. Thanks
actually, before you blindly rant, maybe you'd understand that there is currently no way to get magic guard to its maxed level without paying NX. (extractions have proven this as well as people who have leveled via leech and are now stuck) Magic guard is the most essential skill of the mage, which is why it is a first job skill! you cannot CPQ or train outside of main victoria newbie maps without this skill on a mage. Maybe they meant to add a quest string inside the game, however they have NOT. so unless an emergency patch is issued, every evan without access to NX is at a standstill. I'd say it screams pretty loudly to be purposeful as it is the one skill that renders the class unplayable without it.

Magic guard is a Major mage skill, and without a good lvl(lol, wtf is 5 MG gonna do at skeles? lol..) you're pretty much dead in the water end game... I haven't heard from anyone who got the mastery books in game... So until I do... Or someone on basil puts out a guide... Just lol... Edit: Ninja'd

The real problem is that the Max level of MG is 5, and from the extractions there appears to be no way (aside form CS) to increase it above level 5. GL running around with a level 5 MG. Simply put, nexon has stated "Make Your Evan Not Suck! Buy NX Today!"

Jesus Christ. http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1451738/#cashshop ""Now you are wondering why is this happening! Lets face it, if you play gMS and know where to train and got connections, you can reach level 70 with in 60 hours or less. If you are going to play with 2X or anything that will get you more EXP well then it is sure you can make it less than 60 hours. So what did Nexon applied. - When Aran came out people were grinding and grinding and grinding. Many people were so into grinding people did not do the quests to get the skills. - Also some people are lazy to do the quest and they rather continue to play. - Also note that some skills have to be found with Monster drops! --- instead of fighting one monster again and again and again, when you can be training, you wish it there was an easy way. --- you can not go to the markets and buy it since it is a new class NO ONE HAS THE SKILL TO SELL THEM! So Nexon found a soution to the problems as stated above. That if you are lazy to do the quest, if you missed doing the quest, if you want help out an Evan by getting them what they want, or not killing bosses or monsters for hours and hours. YOU CAN BUY THEM WITH NX! If you do not have NX you can ask a friend to gift you, or at least this way it is in the Markets so YOU can buy them!"" YOU CAN buy them, but you DON'T HAVE TO, those skillbooks are still obtainable through quests ><. The Cash Shop option is for lazy / power leveling people, who don't have time to do quests. @few above They're not getting magic guard to maximum, because skill points are also awarded to Evan through QUESTS. People who are leeching don't do quests. They'll have to do them later.

The max level for MG is 5, and the extractions have no information of being able to increase MG to level 20. Not to mention, many level 40+ Evans are complaining about not having a quest it increase MG to maxlv 20. Simply put, you have to pay NX to get MG above level 5.

You can easily get to 50 tonight by just doing questing for your job and casual training as the quests give out great exp--esp mush castle and the puppeteer stuff. The quest is either left out intentionally or unintentionally and we need an emergency patch, or they are forcing us to purchase the book for 2$ or just stop our evan at lvl 35/40. you cannot enter CPQ, you cannot leave main vic towns, you basically are a sitting duck with 500 hp and no where to go with it. there is no laziness involved here and had it been other skills, id applaud nexon for instituting a price cap on FM since ppl wouldnt be forced to pay gouged prices as supply cannot meet demand for the tiem being. however, this skill is the ONLY skill an evan will ever need to make it to 200. you can lose any other skill and be 100% fine. lose MG and you're dead in the water from the word go.
