Right now as I have a 2x buff on I used on my self from rep, I don't even bother training. Why? I completely lost all my motivation to level. My dream was to become the 1st regular str, unfunded, no nx, unleech corsair. I also wanted to get a full reverse set. Yet a few dozen minutes ago that dream was shattered. So there's a 116 outlaw and a 120 corsair in my alliance. I was training with the corsair with a 2x buff on, which I usually did this past week. Sure we just trained, gave free 2x buffs to guildies and friends, and did our thing. But today, as we were training and talking, he said he was totally unfunded with no nx or help what so ever. He had about 200m+ worth of equips on, including a scar helm, 8att wg, 89att concerto, and some other good equips I forgot. Sure, like they got no help getting a scarlion helm. He also said he was going to make a reverse. I asked, "How did you get all that money if you never even spent money or got help?" He said, "I just lmped, npced all the pots and sold all the scrolls. I picked up whatever I can during grinding." Worse part was the 116 outlaw was his friends and was also unfunded with very good equips. They had a competition to see who could reach corsair 1st. They both did not merch, ever. That hurt pretty bad. They're in college. I'm in high school. They have lots of free time. I don't. They live by themselves. I live with my parents. They have freedom. I have parents, chores, 4 year old sister and 1 year old brother to take care of. Not to mention a diabetic grandma who is a ticking time bomb and prone to heart attacks and strokes, like she did the times before. They have a job. I don't. They are rich. I am poor, both in Maplestory and in real life. They have nice houses. I live in a 3 bedroom apartment. I've been poor since 2006 when the company that paid my father huge amounts of money, became bankrupt and had to close. We also are a few weeks behinds bils since my father keeps getting laid off. The regional managers really think hes very good, but the CEOs or something had to make decisions and fire the new people. I share a laptop with my mother. She works full time at nights and sometimes takes it with her to work, so even less time. She also goes to college and plans to become a nurse, since her degree from the Philipines couldn't transfer here to California. Seriously, what's the point of reaching corsair anymore? It takes so slow to get there. If I do get there, then what? I get new skills and become more powerful sure, but after that, then what? Bossing? Do I just spam the same attack trying to kill a boss? Do I collect the drops which I sell for mesos that I have no idea what to do with it. Dude, I could just do all that in a pizza slice in a way shorter amount of time, without making my parents mad. I've done it so why not do it again? It happened when I quit broa because of so many reasons. After I quit Broa, I created my pirate right when Galicia came out at 6pm. It was easy to train,

Just give up the game. In your situation (heck, any situation) maplestory isn't worth it. What are we going to do with this game in 20 years? Nothing. NOTHING. I say this to myself every day, yet I still play it. It's strange. Not worth it. Quit, move on, have a better life. P.S.: Awesome lyrics. They're win.

dude, just play for fun. I don't even try to to compete against others, as long as MS is fun for YOU. If it's not, just stop and find something better to do. Take it from me, I'm in college and I don't have much free time. I just play occasionally for the fun behind it, not because I'm trying to get ahead of someone. From the sound of your situation, I'd stop and just try to start helping around the household. Maybe get a job to help out?
