Evan skillbooks have to be bought?

i think that it is just an option i think you can also find them from monsters normally

you dont have to buy in order to use the skills, you just cant max it out way past its normal point, the skills will still prolly be good enough that people w/o nx wont be devastated.

It's an upgrade if you read it carefully. It clearly says this : Without the mastery books the player cannot bring Magic Guard, Magic Booster, and Critical Magic past skill level 5.

[/quote] We dont know yet until you actually play the game. Hime stated you dont have to use those books in the CS to use the skills. You might not have to. Dont make assumptions until its actually out.

[/quote] Try surviving a round of cpq without magic guard... (because lvl 5 is just plain useless, really) and you'll reconsider if people w/o nx can't be "devastated" by this stupid move by nexon. I really hope those skill books drop from mobs or can be obtained by making quests. Otherwise I might as well quit this stupid useless character (my recently made evan, and I mean that without those skills, any other magician in the gae is way better, since all of evan's awesome offensive skills go to waste if it can't take a hit).

so far extractions have shown no other way to get this book in game. unless nexon does some sort of emergency patch to activate some quest or something so we can finish magic guard than every evan will either stay a very low level or fork out 2k just go be able to train. i think its obvious nexon chose the single most important mage skill to be a forced purchase. if it was some other skill that you could say oh well and skip it for something less desirable in its place, they wouldnt rake in the money from the NX. as it stands, an evan w/o maxed MG is going nowhere fast. the only ppl who could keep on without MG would be the hene-hos... ironically, they are the exact ones who WOULD jump to buy a CS skillbook </3
