Life vs. Death:Would you take the bullet for your loved one?

So imagine yourself in this little scenario: You are at a sunset beach watching the view and enjoying the moment. Everything couldn't have seem to gone wrong. You're with your friends/bf/gf/husband/wife/chicken/banana/etc AND all of a sudden some person comes outta nowhere and aims to shoot at them. Would you be the brave one and take the bullet even if it would cost you your life? Think about it... Because in these times we wonder whether it would be morally wrong to see your loved ones fall or if we should step up and be the one to protect them.

Well in times like these, its a good thing i have my trusty desert eagle. i would just bust this bad boy out shoot my self in the leg and my love one, the guy with the gun would then just walk away in confusion leaving us alone for some protected baby making~

You think I'm stupid? He'll probably shoot at her again after he's already killed me. I'd push her out of the way and take the bullet in my hand, rather than a lethal bullet in the heart.
