Do arans use skills when bossing?

[/quote] lol so true. and all the aran skills are based on key combos. we constantly spam more than 3 skills and hit more than 3 times after overswing. [/quote] higher combos means high crit and more attack, not to mention the often overlooked stat boosts it gives (+50 each after 100 combos)

Actually zak arms with a ssb and an apple and combo of 100 my range passes 10k dmg, since im using a fast board i reach 200 combo quite quickly and then use tempest. 1200%*4*10000(high avrg)*8 arms, which is roughly 3.8 mill dmg. keeping your combo over 100, is not as much dpm as using tempest. Im not sure but the 1200% might even be more with critical dmg and 110% ice move, lol forgot the name. but yeah sexy dmg. lol dont forget freeze standing an arans stance,mw,combo barrier?

technically arans dont just hold a button WE JAM THE BUTTON a BAJILLION TIME IN A ROW i find that more fun than holding a button

Anal much? HAHA? Overswing triple swing are all different attacks but its still from the same key. As some other guy said buffs are also a given, every class rebuffs. I seem suprised at spamming? lol Do you really just skim over my post or just can't comprehend what im saying. All i wanted to know was the bossing style of arans. And in conclusion (I know now that) they don't use their "combo skills" like in early training where they use up combosmash or other skills. They just keep spamming one button like most other classes. I even used an example of hero how in early first job they still rely on panic (which does more dpm) than spamming brandish or ps on bosses.

Hm... getting to 100 combo would boost your attack by 10, but every 30 combos you can use Combo Smash which is 700% damage... Would just keeping your combos up to 100 and over be better than going up to 30 and Smashing? This was only when I wast training at Twisted Jesters, but Smashing them every time I got to 30 combos killed them off faster than just hitting them normally (i.e. more damage was done). A question that's been hanging in my mind for a while. =/

spam attack, tempest @ zak, combo drain, freeze standing, maybe smart knockback for scar/targar thats it...so mostly spam attack

Only the first hit is an attack. Double, Over, and Full swing were skills too, last time I checked. Add Drain, Smash/Fenrir, Body Pressure, etc. Arans use MORE skills than other classes, if anything.
