A question about bigbang

| Question 1: How do you fund your blizzard training cost? Question two: This one is a little deeper; Big Bang at level 30 has these stats: Level 30: MP -50; Max Attack 450, Skill 80 (Takes like 2 seconds to get max charge?) Chain lit has these: Level 30: MP -25; Basic attack 180, Mastery 60%, Damage up to 6 enemies (and, I hear the damage is halved as it goes to the next monster) My question? Would it be feasible to get Blizz/BB/Ifrit by level 150 (maybe MW somewhere in there) to give me a somewhat decent bossing ability? I imagine by level 150 with BB and apples I could hit 50k+ to 4 arms. 200k right there. Then, using blizz I could control the mob. Another benefit. Then, ifrit adds a little more damage (better than nothing) or MW for a party buff. I keep hear CL is the bossing skill, yet to me, I can't see it out damaging BB on 2 monsters or more; and by the time 1 arm is left I think I could have proven my worth compared to other mages. you would have 720 Base atk with BB+Elequines and 517 base atk if you used MW. So Quines seems to be a better choice, but atk speed would have to factor in somewhere. Anyone got the math on that? I'm thinking of a build like this: 120-130 Blizz 130-140 Big Band 140-150 Elequines 150-160 MW 160 + TBD Mob control+some damage, (200k from BB and 30-50k for elequines). Would this make me, possibly, assuming I have friends at first, able to boss? I'm talking zakum specifically, by level 150ish? |

| Ive been adverising this thread alot to get more people to come here and voice more arguments. I think BB got a bad name and noone cared abt it when it got patched for 3 things. Ive written 5 people and asked friends. This is pretty much my new maple life as this would change arch mages quite a bit I think. |

| Big Bang's a fun move to me. But that charge-up time really messes with me. On the other hand, it's how I'm able to do 2nd job-like damage so I can make 2nd job training videos at this level without having to strip down. Otherwise, I don't see too much of a use of Big Bang outside of Zakum. Just my opinion. |

It has been updated twice making charge time 1 sec and now you can move it. I hear BF and pianus are two other uses, but I am mainly advertising for zakum for those who can't always afford blizzard training cost. I can, but not everyone can. And as I said, if you are going to zakum using CL is pointless as I stated. @ above May I have a link? The reason I imagine you did see that is no one looked into it. BB > CL in every scenario. That is as simple as I gets and that is all I am trying to say. |

| My suggestion is to step back and look at the big picture. I'm not going to question your argument that Big Bang is best for Zakum. If you believe that and really want to Zak then go for it. Personally, I'd use Blizz at Zak. And before anyone starts talking about lag at Zak, understand it's a non-issue. All you need to do is cache Blizz by casting it before Zak appears. That will eliminate any lag problem. If you don't believe me, watch a video of an all I/L Zrun. I did one in Windia... 20+ I/Ls all casting Blizz... a site to behold... My approach has been to be concerned about which weapons will give me the most bang (pun intended) for my buck. I think everyone would agree that you max Blizz and MW20 first. That will take you to level 137. At this point, you have three skills to consider: CL, Ifrit, and BB. Personally, I think that CL and Ifrit are more effective against a wider range of monsters, than BB. Hence, they have more utility. That's my choice, yours may be different. Just remember that it will take 10 levels to max BB. Do you really want to get to level 147 without any points in CL or Ifrit? My guess is not, but it's up to you. |

It was a showcase for how to train somewhere in 2nd job; just I had to use Big Bang or otherwise my damage is too high for it to look proper. It was level 1, and I used it uncharged. That way it had the same casting speed as Thunderbolt. (just fyi, without charging it at all, Big Bang has 74 casts/minute without Booster and 83 casts/minute with it; fully charging, it has 33 casts/minute without Booster and 34 casts/minute with it) (all numbers were truncated) |

| Didn't read everything but wouldn't having an ele wand decrease the BB dmg? Kind off hard to combine it with occasional blizzards and whatnot then |
