Is the Maple community getting smaller?

So I started playing maplestory on and off like 4 years ago (back when Zak was where it was at, 30 and 70 scrolls didn't exist, and 1,000,000 mesos meant something), and I remember there being alot more players than there are now. I was wondering if its just me, or has anyone else noticed that less and less people are playing maplestory nowadays.

maplestory has been made that if you don't have fundings, its just to hard to start...

Maybe because back then there was like only 3 servers while now we got like 10?

Usually in summer more people come. It's honestly not that hard to get started off. Funding may take awhile, but you can be very well off even if you don't spend any money on nx. Much easier than some other online games I've played. Just depends on how much time you're willing to invest on hunting for drops and mesos.

I think it actually got a lot bigger, but I also think that you just don't meet as many people on the maps inbetween cities. There's places that are flooded with people like mp3 and windraiders, or in pqs, but other areas are dead. It certainly seems more deserted that way.

I must say, Its is very, very hard to get funding in MapleStory if you dont spend money on NX, lets say, ur killing and looting, that cant give more then 25k ea level (1-30), after 30 you should have only like 100k left after all armor buys, now, you want a ATT wg? Its impossible to afford that with 100k... While in for example, World Of Warcraft, you get enough money to buy all you want while leveling and instancing/raiding. So, in a Summary, MapleStory is losing people, the funded ones have taken over (Probs 70% of them have bought mesos from sites)...

I don't know, it just seems like there are less people in the fm / main cities and such. Sure its understandable that there are more high levels than before so they're all in leaf and cwk but still I rarely see alot of people nowadays

[/quote] that is so not true. i made a CB in galicia and just did the GFA quests as well as some other random ones. I made well over 50m and scrolled a 9atk glove and 87atk Deadly fin by lvl 60. LMAO Seriously if you think maple is hard just quit now. All you need is about 10m total for potion money from lvls 1-70 if you play your funds (self-funded on the same acc you made) properly. OT: umm, yes but that is because of all the new servers

Only been playing for just under 3 months, so i wouldnt know. As long as they dont go play WonderKing or some crap, then it dosent really bother me.

When l just started playing maple, Scania use to be Over populated, but now it's just normal.

It's become a lot smaller since I started. About 4-5 years ago (this was before ludi was even part of GMS), you couldn't make an account in Scania because the servers for it were so full. Windia, Bera, and the other one that was there back then were all pretty much like Scania is now. And people complain about a world being overpopulated =( I'd still say it's a good sized community though. Funding a good character is a little difficult for someone completely new to the game though (It's not like starting a new character in a new world, they don't know about which quests to do for money, what is valuable and whats not, etc.. And most people just starting out aren't going to want to spend the time looking up every little detail online on forums and guides and such). But then again I came back after about a 2 year hiatus (I had bought a new computer and MS didn't work with Vista x64 back then), and was lucky enough to find a chaos back when they were still worth 120 mil. That was definitely helpful in funding my characters. =)
