BMPT? Something like that. Since we have such a...big spotlight on Pokemon right now ( 200+ Page Pokemon discussion ), we figured to channel all this energy into something most players can enjoy: A Pokemon tournament . It's fairly simple and it might difuse a lot of the Pokemon...excitement. Possibly. BMPT - General Rules - Pokemon that have illegal stats (via Pokesav, etc) are not allowed . Seriously, don't do it. - People who are known to be hackers throughout the Basil Community cannot participate (refer to the "Pokemon Discussion" thread). - Anyone can participate. You don't have to be at a certain "skill level". - Any and all hacking disputes will be settled by the hosts (ThatPirateguy, StrikeFreedm, RJustice) if they cannot be resolved. BMPT - Battle Rules - Level 100 cap. - 6 v. 6 - Best of 3 -> For Finals. - Singles - Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause, Self-KO Clause, Hax Item Clause, OHKO Clause and Species Clause are all in effect. - No Ubers (bye Garchomp) but Legendaries are allowed (hi Azelf?) - D/C Clause: In the event of a disconnection the winner will be decided based on a "point rule". The person with the most Pokemon remaining wins the match. This rule is actually only in place to discourage people from D/Cing to avoid losing and then claim that there was an "unexpected" connection error. * - Battles must be completed with a victor announced within 48 hours of the pairings being posted.* Everyone add the hosts of the tourney to their Pal Pad. In the event of a dispute, both players will be asked to stay online until a host can come online and settle (checking pokes, stats, etc). Signing off from Wi-Fi, in the event of a hacking/cheating dispute, will be regarded as a forfeit. * = The rules can be negotiated. Roster The current list is only going up to 16 because...we're waiting to see if more people want to join (A lot of the people from Pokemon Discussion don't have Wi-Fi). It can/will be expanded. Is it really possible to enforce freeze clause? There's no moves that only cause freeze, it only happens as a side affect from attacks. If you get a freeze and your opponent switches out and you get another freeze, it's not really your fault is it?

[/quote] That was unnecessary. Battling friends is the only solution I see for you. If there's any tournament at all there will be people with Ev trained pokemon, so no reason to act as if only no lifers do it >_>.

[/quote] Sleep clause means you can't put more than one pokemon on your opponent's team to sleep. It does not ban sleep.

[/quote] I mean, Pokemon who are specifically trained to have the best EVs. Obviously trained pokemon will have EVs. @Above: It's still kinda stupid IMO. Anything goes is so much better.

[/quote] You can kinda bash tournament rules and training behaviors in another thread, if you want. That'd be cooler. Sleep Clause : No more than two Pokemon can be asleep at a time. Prevents fast Pokemon from mass hypnotizing a team.
