What to use on Reverse Blindness?

Hi, I have everything I need to make Reverse Blindness and I was planning on using an advanced diamond, intermediate dex crystal, and an advanced black crystal along with a stimulator. I already have the adv. diamond and dex crystal and was moments away from buying the advanced BC but my friend said that I should use intermediate DARK crystal instead of the advanced black crystal. Can anyone tell me what the effects of the adv. black crystal and intermediate dark crystal are? And also, what I should use in making my Reverse Blindness? Thanks.

Dark crystal only adds Str, dex ect. Black crystal adds attack. So 3 attack>5 dex Don't blow it up like I did with my knuckle. I am RAAAAAAAGEEEEEEEED

lol, ^^^^ Dark crystal puts Str, Dex,Int and Luk, into the weapon, Armour. You don't get to choose which one you get. Same for the Black Crystal, except it effects Accuracy, Attack, Magic Attack, Speed, Jump, Weapon Def, Magic Def..and all those types of ones... So, Dark Crystal gives u the better chance of getting Dex or Str...But Black Crystal has a very low chance of u getting what u want.. If u are feeling lucky, use the Black Crystal, if u are not feeling as lucky use Dark Crystal But it is up to u, not me or any one else xP

Black crystal is the one that has a chance of giving you attack, but it's a low chance (it affects only one out of 4 possible stats). Also, keep in mind, it actually has an equal chance of giving your item - 3 attack as of giving it +3. I'd actually recommend using an Advanced Topaz (HP), but if you're willing to take the risk, go for the black crystal.

ohh i see. wow i am glad you guys told me this i don't think i am going to use advanced bc. but if i just use advanced diamond the best stat i could get is +3 right? and avg blindness atk is 82? so best chance is 85 atk?

[/quote] You're forgetting the stimulator. It guarantees that your item will come out at least average (if it doesn't blow up while you're making it), but if you're lucky, it can come out up to 5 atk above average. The best possible would be 90 atk (clean, unleveled).

Wording here is confusing, black/dark crystals don't 'give' you stats. They work exactly like chaos scrolls in that they only alter stats that are already on an item.

More than 60 concertos, all with adv/intermediate black crystals. EDIT: I don't see anywhere in that guide that says it gives anything. The way it works is that black crystal randomly *effects* the stats listed, if they are already on the item. Go ahead and try forging yourself if you'd like. Basic black crystals are less than 1m each, it shouldn't cost much to test this out for yourself on some level 50 guns or something of the sort.

[/quote] Personally, I'm waiting for Vega Scrolls to come back out, which I'm guessing will be with the Evan patch. I plan to 90% mine all the way (it's clean right now). If you have enough money, you could try to 50% it (though finding that many 50% scrolls would be difficult) or even 50% + white scroll it. If you are that funded though, you should make more than one, and level them all and see how they turn out. It didn't sound like you were one of those insanely rich merchants though. If you don't want to wait (and don't have billions of mesos to spare), you could always just 60% it. 100%s and 10%s are stupid, and 70%s and 30%s are too risky.
