So i like this girl but i failed twice -__- (HELP)

So theres this girl that i liked since around the 4th grade (im in grade 10 now) but i still cant get her and i need help so i liked this girl and in grd 9 she found out. so there was this dance party thing coming up and her friends started telling me how she wanted to go with me and stuff. so she asked me to with her, but i totally messed it up cuz i was nervous and everything. like i barely payed attention to her the entire night. but i thought i still had a chance cuz her friend kept telling me shes trying to hook us up (i thought the girl might be telling her friend to say this). but nothing really happned cuz i was to scared to talk to her and everytime i did i started sweating and stuff. she also kept giving me signs that she liked me like laughing at everything i say and coming to my locker and hitting me and stuff (i think those were signs) , but i never did the right thing like hug her or anything cuz i was always caught off guard when these things happned. like i would know what to do after it happned when it was 2 late. So a summer later in grade 10 i still wasnt over this girl, but we barely ever talked so i tried to talk to her again this year, and ii thought it was going good until one day when i was telling her a story about something tht happened and she said she would talk 2 me after skool cuz she had to go 2 class, but she never came... and when i did talk to her again my brain completly blanked and i started mumbling and forgot the story. so yeaa, that was like 3 months ago and now all i ever say is hi. but i know this is the 1 cuz i keep having dreams about her and stuff, even when i try to forget her. like i thought i was completly over her until yesterday i had a dream that we were together.. -__-. so now here i am posting this on basil, asking you all--- WTF DO I DO? and why do i keep having dreams of her? (please excuse my grammer) EDIT: Some people say to keep trying, but this girl is one of those ppl that are ALWAYS surrounded by friends. how do you approach sum1 like that without looking like an idiot EDIT(2): So i saw her at school today, but everytime i saw her we were walking in the opposite direction. and its a crowded hallway so it would be weird if i stopped all of a sudden to turn around and walk with her. and plus shes always talking 2 sum1. then after school i waited till she left then walked quick and caught up with her. but she was walking with her friends and i couldnt rly do anything. this isnt gonna be easy im gonna try the msn approach EDIT(3) So yea i think its pretty much over-- i talked to her online and we talked about school for about 5 mins then she said she had 2 go then at skool today i was gonna go talk to her but this guy had his arm around her and he was rubbing her stomach or sumthing o.O i think she liked it cuz she was laughing-- im not sure if she saw me or not but yea i think im screwed,-

oh my effin god dude.. i have the same thing happen to me almost exactly.. i have dreams of someone too and we dont even talk anymore.. the most is hi. its really depressing cause shes on my mind all hte time but i cant say anythign to her cause i get scared LOL

My situation is that i've liked this same girl ever since I was little, like 6 or so. And I have no balls whatsoever to talk to her, we make eye contact but i just freeze when i open my mouth.

Well guys, if you ain't got balls, nothing's ever going to change. Either grow some or move on, and growing balls doesn't 100% mean you'll get girl, you still might get shut down, but at least you know FINALLY after 6 years that she doesn't like you back. Some girls can lead guys on pretty hard, you'd be surprised, I don't think they do it intentionally, it's probably who they are. But ya if all else fails listen to Destinex, he seems wise.
