After a couple months away from maple i feel like making a mage, but i don't know which. Should i make a fire/poison, or ice/lightning? Suggestions?

It's your choice, but i'll help by giving some pros and cons Fire Poison -no mobbing until 3rd job (tedious doing 1v1 all the time IMO) -limited use of weapons (explosion is affected by weapon speed) -extremely fast lvling from 70-120 (poison myst at skeles), which is often considered hard for most people. -extreme pot burn from 70+ (poison myst at skeles means a LOT of damage taken early on, and meteor takes a lot of mp.) -generally higher damage (especially after balancing patch) -elemental wands/staves 1/2/5/6 are more expensive due to blaze wizards and evans Ice Lightning -can freeze from 30+ to save pots. -gets new mobbing skills and freezing skills every job advancement. -thunder spear has EXTREMELY high damage, although its replaced almost immediately after you get a point in chain lightning, and most people dont get it. -decent fast lvling throughout (thunderbolt lets you mob for cpq, cpq2, pypq. spamming ice strike at gallos from 80-120 is easy leveling, and 120+ blizzard freezes so its less pot burn, and easier) -elemental wands/staves 3/4/7/8 are slowly dropping in price, and are cheaper than 1/2/5/6. Overall its based on which you like better, raw damage? or ability to freeze? hope i helped :]]
