| Which ones would be better in terms of Damage? Bossing? Training? Expenses? How have your experiences with NLs/Shads been? EDIT: This thread was NOT created to start a "flame war". It was simply to get input/opinions from Basilers. |

| My experience as an NL, and comparing to a CB: More dpm on a single target (TT+SP pl0x) Better at bosses (SE pl0x) *these two fail if assassinate is pro* Less mobbing power (avenger sucks, kthnx. Bstep wins) Less expenses (go alchemist) |

| I don't have a shadower, or a NL, but I do have a CB and a 120 NW, and I would have to say that I prefer NW. But that's just because NWs are so fast. (remember, NWs are basically level 135 nightlords) NLs are better at bossing when it comes to bosses they can survive a single hit from typically. I think shadowers do a little bit more damage for a solo, plus have better defense, but at bosses where you are expected to use an apple and/or SE from a BM/MM, NLs win. As far as training goes, NLs are one of the slowest classes. Shadowers are pretty quick, though not anywhere like bishops. For expenses, NLs are way more expensive, simply because more people like them. It's not just about damage. If it was, there would be a lot more corsairs. But a lot of people who have other mains quit their corsairs, like me, because they are slow and boring for me, even if they are unique... the uniqueness doesn't make it fun. |
Wth are you talking about. NL have low hp without washing. With shadowers they can survive better with mg. Nightlords are good bossers cause of their damage but shadowers typically die less. |
You can't compare a NW with a NL 120 NW =/= 135 NL. 135 NL would deal more damage ^^ Even a 128-129+ NL is capable of outdamage NW 120. To me, NL are the fastest class I ever tried, and one of the most powerful talking about single targets. When it comes to mobbing, we suck. Bossing: NL > Shad @ damage. But MG for Shads make them take more hits. |

| Damage? I'd say Night lords. Especially on a single target. Bossing? Attacking..NL survivability..Shadowers Training? About equal in my opinion. Shadowers have the advantage of mob skills and NLs have the mobility of flash jump and a strong single monster attack. Expenses? Other than weapons/shield, the equips are basically the same. I'd say they are on par when you consider the cost of an attack shield. Shadowers have Meso Guard which can save a little bit of pot money, but then NLs have alchemist so their pots heal more. |

Training Shad > NL, they mob so they gain exp faster and they do use taunt, FJ is more to get position to attack fine, not like movility at all when it comes to training. |

| Damage vs single target: NL's hands down Damage vs mob: Shads Bossing: NLs. Unless you wanna solo ofcourse, in which case Shads Training: Shads come just behind AMs/Bishops if it comes to training speed.... Expenses: Shads. Not because daggers are cheaper (remember, ATT shields are expensive), but because they take almost 0 damage. Shadow Shifter for Shads is 40% avoid, for NLs 30%. Boomerang step is temporary invincibility, and Meso Guard significantly reduces pot usage/cost. |

| with shads you see bigger numbers when it come to dmg but nl have better dpm cuz they atk faster but have smaller numbers. i'd rather train a shad than a nl tho. |

| Yeah, you're kinda right. I guess a 120 NW is more like a 126-131 NL since the NWs TT caps at level 20. But as far as ability points they are similar. Never the less, I would say it is a fairly good comparison when it comes to bossing damage. | Since I generally don't boss with any MS character...I'd say Shadowers are better for training. The only class I can't outgrind on a solo basis is a bishop at skeles. NL can be pretty fun with FJ though, nice single target damage. Damage(solo): Shads Damage(buffs+party): NLs Bossing: NLs probably Training: Shads no doubt with or without taunt. Expenses: I use around 50 barb elixirs an hour training on skeles with now maxed shadow shifter and the BS invinc. NLs might have to go back and refill stars/repot and whatnot more often unless they drop a lot of nx to get more use slots. Alchemy is pretty nice tho. Don't forget NLs use summoning stones pretty often. I'd say about shads pull slightly ahead in terms of saving more mesos for the same amount of time training... |

I use about 100 mana elixirs an hour. <3 Drain |
