You are at the level where gaining 0.01% exp is incredibly difficult. But finally, you made it! Well, almost. You're at 99.98%! Just a few more kills until you level up! And then starts the 2x exp/drop event. You can feel a rush of a lagfest come towards you. Soon, there will be so much lag that you will be unable to do anything, and you will D/C. But it's just one more kill! You have to make this final kill to level up! Who know when the next time you'll be able to play, with Asian parents and all? You send out that last attack, you spam your skills, that monster is so close...the HP bar is almost gone... And then the lag hits you. You are frozen in mid-air, unable to move, unable to attack, unable to heal yourself . You can only watch as the monsters take advantage of your lag, and continue to hit 300's over and over again. Finally, you die. Being a LUK-less mage or whatever (sins have too much avoid for a good reason), you just lost 10% of your experience. God knows how many hours you spent, but they're all gone! The lag then subsides, and your connection returns to normal, but only to your dismay of seeing your character's ghost floating next to that last monster with 4 HP left, still launching attacks as if it were taunting you. How do you react? EDIT: Apparently I mistyped the damage to be 300 instead of 3000 like I planned Also, I'm just talking about generally, what happens when this situation happens to you? It's not bad for me, being at a point where 1 hour's worth of training can get me like 60%, but at like level 190, I know that one hour's worth of training doesn't impact the exp% that much.
