| They are supposedly one of the weakest classes early on, so will the patch make them more powerful? And what will it change? |

| What gives you the impression Pages are weak early on? They're no weaker than a Fighter, and are certainly a good deal stronger than a 2nd job Spearman in pretty much all ways except support skills. |

| Nothing spectacular will happen to pages. They only get threaten from static to a percentage, but that doesn't do anything at low levels. |
paladins have the highest 1.vs.1 dpm after balance patch, no class is made for pure dmg. But some people just make classes for their dmg. |

|
spencer1022 : Alright, but your still not answering the question. -_-
Basically, the so-called "balance" patch is really going to only do one thing: give in to a bunch of whiney people that don't have a clue how to analyze RPGs or the jobs in them. Pages, White Knights, and Paladins have never at any point been universally the "weakest" warrior job for their tier, as all have their areas of influence, but because certain "analysts" decided their own defined roles for the game are the "most important" and all others should be ignored, Nexon has decided to make every other job more fitting to those roles while ignoring the advantages those jobs already have. For Paladins, they'd do this by implementing an increase in charges that, depending on how it's implemented, would either give them a slight increase in their elemental advantage, rendering their 3rd and 4th job single-target and particularly big-mob DPS rates beyond what the other two can do to those in all ways but not by a ridiculous amount, or will totally break their elemental advantage if it's implemented poorly. They also plan to implement what I admittedly consider a good idea: an increase in neutral-elemental damage through charge stacking. If my theory on the charge stacking function is right, then it will, again, slightly increase their (already tremendous) one-on-one and big-mob advantage against enemies that are elementally weak, but would more significantly increase their damage against elementally neutral enemies. Their one-on-one DPS would be slightly more than a Hero's even against those enemies, while it wouldn't increase their elemental advantage by too much, so in theory it could maintain a "balance" like exists now. But it could also be implemented in a poor manner that would render their elemental advantage damage completely ridiculous, particularly against mobs. |
Early on Pages are no different from Fighters and Spearmen (except for buffs and spearmen are a little slow at attacking). In 3rd job they train rather quickly if you take advantage of elemental weaknesses and have consistant damage (rather than the crusader's inconsistant damage). In fourth Job they max their main training attack a few levels before all other classes, have HH (hp to 1 on 15 targets) and Blast is a darn powerful 1v1 attack. Overal, the paladin is a pretty powerful class. You just need half a brain to be able to utilize elemental advantages to keep your damage up. Anyway, for the "Buff unpopular classes that short-sighted people over look so that said short sighted people make more characters and pay us more money" scam/patch, this is what I remember: Threaten is now % based Fire Charge: 120% > 140% Lightning Charge: Stacks with other charges Holy Charge: 140% > 150% Blast: 550% > 580% There are more, but I probably forgot them |

Not squire. They become White Knights and then Paladins. @ Threadstarter, if you think pages are weak then you must think fighters are also weak and spearman would be weakest. Fighters and Pages both use the same weapon " swords ". They both have the same 260% power strike and 130% slash blast . They both have the same 40% (20% on bosses) Power Guard . While Fighters use Rage , Pages use Warrior Elixirs (12 attk for 8 minutes 5k an elixir from NLC npc shop). I think it's not the job you should say that it's weak, I think it's just you yourself that is weak. Just because you find one person, or yourself weak, or the class isn't popular, doesn't mean the class itself is weak, it's just you. |

| I can't wait to see how many bandwagoners give up in frustration OT: you have a lvl 50 page. If you think that you are weak, then why do you have a page to begin with. Have some pride. Arc~ |
