| I have a few questions, I might create a gunslinger. Yes I have already experienced their terrible damage but I think I can make it to third job easily with my great access to free wins in carnival party quests 1 and 2. So what I would like to know is: 1.) Is corsair worth the hell of gunslinger and slight trouble of outlaw? 2.) How are training speeds compared to other non-mage classes? 3.) Is Battleship annoying? and I am still confused on how many hits it can take so if somebody could help me out here it would be great. 4.) Are you wanted for bosses such as Zakum, Pap, Scarlion, Targa. 5.) What is the Mobility like and does the slow speed of battleship annoy you? I am fully open to ideas on creating a different class so if somebody Doesn't know much about corsairs but wants to share about the great experience they are having with their class it would be great, I just want a class to stick to all of my friends are like 14x and I cant decide what to play on. Thanks guys. |

| no matter what anyone tells you sairs can be fun depending on how you feel about them. I would never make a bucc because the only reason that buccs are wanted in boss runs is for SI. I would never pick another mule class considering that i quit my 166 bishop because i could not take the constant heal/disple/HS BS. All in all i love my sair although i am having a bit of trouble training but it should get better once i max BSC. |

Yes it is worth the trouble, however i noticed that many of the ppl that answered to this questions have not really hit the mark where corsairs are considered to be worth it. IMO corsairs start to really show their true value at around 140+. This is the period when you start noticing that your sair is outdmging other classes. Also this is the period when your ship actually lasts awhile while you are still training efficiently. 2.) They probably aren't as fast as classes such as aran, and maybe even heroes/drks. But they are definitely faster than BM and NL in my opinion (2-3 hit mobs with torpedo). 3.) Battleship is not annoying. It's something you will get use to, and a lot of people that have never played sairs get the ridiculous idea that you're suppose to stay on your ship 24-7. You will be hopping on and off ship constantly to increase mobility/efficiency. 4.) Within the first 5-6 months that sairs first came out, no one really considered them as a attacker for bosses. Some people just didn't know their damage potential, and others didn't invite because there weren't as many high level sairs around. Nowadays, sairs are usually welcome on all boss runs except for those few old school players that are scared of change or just plain ignorant. 5) Refer back to #3. Ship mobility will not hinder you the slightest in training. Most training methods goes something like this Dash/Mount until you meet a monster/mob -> ice splitter -> hop on ship -> cannon/torpedo -> hop off ship -> Dash/Mount until you meet another mob -> repeat. As for ship mobility during bosses, it is annoying sometimes but on very very few occasions. The slow ship speed might not allow you to dodge a stun pillar at zakum fast enough for example. |

| its worth the trouble, and it honestly does not take to long to get to 70 with all these new pq's out and about. 2. you can be a faster class if you learn to use your dash along with recoil, or recoil>wings. training wise you prob train a little bit faster becuase once you max cannon you have a really strong main atk along with t0rp its strong as well although its slow, it packs a punch. so training wise i would not say its slower training than most classes. faster than bm i believe for sure. 3. like he said its not annoying, like i said with 2 mobility is kinda simple, you will get use to the fact that you hit you jump hit the ship key quickly hit dash along with a recoil back to a dash, and you honestly move pretty fast. and range is good so atking monsters is pretty easy. also i had like lvl 2 ship through like lvl 134. than at like 140 i had lvl 4 ship. now im 153 and i currently have lvl 6 ship it really does have a lot of hp on it. learn how to not get hit while on boat and you will see that you really dont have to max out ship. 4. most ppl will accept you for any boss run. from what my friend has told me is that we are not really needed for ht. but i could be wrong only got it from 1 friend. nohom0's 5 is pretty much what i would say except i usually let my ship die once during the arms. and during body its extremely easy to keep the ship alive. i feel like the arms for zak and what sairs main job should be to take out curse arm as fast as possible that way party doesnt wrry about getting casted spells on or w.e. Pretty much its worth it. its really fun to play although idk what i would like better bucc or sair. bucc seems fun also but so does shadower :D well gl |

|
Fnarps : As far as Corsair being worth the hell that is 1-70 and Outlaw, I think it's completely worth it. Outlaws have fairly average damage compared to other classes and IS is great for controlling mobs. I might be weird, but at the moment (129) I'm not finding training too difficult. We're a very mobile class if we mount/dismount the ship properly, which definitely takes some level of control. As far as bossing goes, I'm not sure about Targa, but I'm sure that we're one of the most desired attacking classes since we have the highest theoretical dpm (it depends on our control). Also, the ship's HP follows a formula. (Battleship Level x 4000) + (Player Level - 120 x 2000) is the formula, so at 120 you'll have a very annoying 4k HP for your ship, but at 129, where I am, I'm finding 22k to be more than enough for about an hour of training.
Idk about DPM but corsairs definitely have the highest DPS because of rapid fire! |

| 1.) It is worth it if you are planning to get over 140 2.) Training speed is around the same 3.) It breaks easily at level 12x when you boss. I hate going on/off the battleship 4.) You can easily get accepted into pap runs. People usually take 140+ on zak, scarlion, targa. You need around 8k HP before you can survive targa. There's usually HB so you only need 5k + hb. 5.) Not really because you can get off and use dash/recoil shot. |

| 1.] Yea, it's a very fun class, with many interesting skills, also they get much better once ur 13x-14x where ur ship should have a good amount of hp. 2.] It's decent as i'm able to lvl just as fast as Bm's and Nl's. 3.] It's actually more fun than annoying cause it makes u keep mind of not getting hit, might save u a few pots xD. Plus your ship gets 4k hp every point in ship and 2k hp everytime u lvl. So if u were 130 with lvl 1 ship u would have 24k hp. So u can tank that much damage. 4.]I guess so, not ready to fight most but i can fairly easily get into paps :P. 5.]Er i only mount when near monsters otherwise i just use recoil to move around. |

| I started with a Bucc, unlike someone here who did the opposite. I prefer Corsair and this just proves that it depends on the person. I know that we have the highest theoretical DPM, and if you're wondering about damage specifically, you can PM me and I can further explain the differences between Corsairs and other boss-friendly characters. Corsairs are underestimated by most of the Maple community. You might think it sounds hard, but you can't believe everything you hear. |
