Dragon Nest! Awesome game by Nexon.

Hey there Basilers! Those of you that read Spadow's blog may have noticed the new game from Nexon and Eyedentity, Dragon Nest. Dragon Nest is currently in OBT in Korea, but is due to NA in late 2010/early 2011 according to Nexon. I decided to take a look at it, and I am completely amazed. Dragon Nest has WASD controls and no form of point-and-click. This means that you have to attack actively (like Maple), and not just click on a monster and wait while it is being killed, like WoW or Lolscape. You have a crosshair in the middle of your screen, and all attacks are directed toward it. So if you are an Archer for example, you have to aim and shoot the monsters yourself! Dragon Nest also uses the so called "Eternity Engine", a graphics engine that gives you extremely detailed graphics for low system requirements. The game also has its disadvantages, though. The only way to fight monsters is to enter dungeons, and there is a set amount of them you can enter each day. Also, the classes are gender-specific. Males can become Warriors or Clerics, while females can be Archers or Sorceresses. This means that there is so far no thief class. Other than that, this game looks truly awesome. It has stunning, cartoonish graphics while maintaining that serious look. The gameplay is action-filled and strategic at the same time, not boring hack and slash that Maplestory offers. Yeah, I think WoW would be better than that. Besides, when mabi heroes comes out, I'll be playing that. :D Off Topic: Is it true that Mabi Heroes will be on a console? If so, then which? EDIT: Wouldn't this be very similar to Dungeon Fighter Online?

I love how any 3D MMO is immediately accused of being a WoW rip-off. This game looks very interesting, yet I have a feeling that my computer will find a way to be too old to run it.

I don't like the gender-restrictions and the fact you can only enter a few dungeons each day. I'd rather play Chronicles of Spellbon (it has an semi-innovative battle-system). Or Maple...
