Should Suicide be Legal?

Scenario 1 - A man's wife and two kids are murdered by the mob since he is severely in debt for not being able to pay off all the cocaine he has bought. He has lost his job since he was always high, so he burnt down his house in an attempt to pull off an insurance claim scam. It does not work. He has lost everything, and decides to kill himself. Why the hell not? Scenario 2 - A ninth grader girl's boyfriend breaks up with her, and she decides to kill herself. People like that are a waste of space on the earth anyways, so why the hell not? Suicide must be executed in a private, government building, where the workers will kill you with cyanide and dispose of the body. Everyone, regardless of ages, religion, or sexual orientation, can commit suicide. Discuss.

It should be more like, should euthanasia be legal? As half the suicides out there are assisted suicides.

You're right, it doesn't matter if it's legal or not because people will commit suicide if they have that mentality obviously. There should not be a government supervised suicide though.

The TS is trying to say that if you want to suicide, you have to get it officially done but that is pointless--if they know you have debts and everything they will not let you get away with it by having you kill yourself.

If a minor wanted to commit suicide, would he/she have to get parental permission?
