Something I thought would interest a few people. When figuring out the best monster I should train on, I had to take into account how much experience I get per monster, and how many hits I require to kill them. I came up with this: 1hko harps 1hko wolf spiders 1hko windraiders 1-2hko red wyverns 2hko twisted jesters 2hko galloperas 2-3hko newts 3hko nesties 3hko skeles Harps, Wolf Spiders, Windraiders and Twisted Jesters are instantly out of the equation. Since Red Wyverns are not a guaranteed 1hko I treat it as a 2hko, which makes it out because they give the same experience as Galloperas, but with lower mob sizes. Newties are treated as 3hko for the same reason, and really i can get larger mobs, get hit less, and get more exp per monster at skeles, it's out too (this counts nesties and peak, in which transforming nesties require 5-6 hits to kill while non-transforming ones give less exp than skeles). Which leaves Galloperas and Skeles. Since I take 2 hits to kill a Gallopera, I am ultimately getting 1250 experience for each hit. Since I take 3 hits to kill either Skele, I am ultimately getting 1500 experience for each hit on a Skelegon, and 1583.33... experience for each hit on a Skelosaurus. This means that I am getting more experience per hit at Skeles than I am at Galloperas. Therefore, if I were to have the exact same mob sizes, then Skeles will yield 123.33...% of the experience that Galloperas will yield (on average, assuming the Skelegon:Skelosaurus ratio is equal). Best way to do this though it to test it: Galloperas: 22.5%/hour Skeles: 29.8%/hour (so sad, right?) Skeles is actually yielding me 132.44...% of the experience that Galloperas do. Which means that the exp rate at 2hko Galloperas is just over 75% of the exp rate at 3hko Skeles. Basically, I am Saying This Experience-wise, 3 hitting Skeles is better than 2 hitting Galloperas.

I completely bypassed training at gallops. Instead, I trained at Himes until I was level 108-ish. From there I went to skeles. Granted it was and still is a pot burn but the EXP is so good on 4x. ><

Just get: [Monster1 EXP received by Leecher] divided by [Hits needed to kill M1] and compare it with [Monster2 EXP received by Leecher] divided by [Hits needed to kill M2] Doesn't this work?

It's true that they do give a better exp yeild, however I personally prefer gallops because I'm less likely to die there. Then again, I can't freeze things like you. :P

It is interesting though, I always figured gallops would be better until you can 2hit skeles. Btw, glad to see your back ^_^ |
