Why is dex underrated?

Players normally make characters like a low-dex, dexless warrior or dexless sin. bowman and wind archers are the least popular class. Dex is also one of the main stats for almost all classes except mages. So any theory on why players underate dex?

Bowmen/Slingers have always been overshadowedin terms of flashiness by the NL/NW. low dex builds for NLs/buccs and dexless builds for warriors give superior dpm with the right funding.

sins see dex as crap, since they need it and it doesn't give any damage boost

Dex usually give accuracy. So what people do is they look how much accuracy they need to kill a monster, and with gear they make that much dex/acc. The rest will go to there main stats and give them w.atk.

DEX is useless except for the Acc. boost you get from it. This is from my experience as a Warrior.

Psh, i'm an unfunded dex bandit and i do decent damage. who cares about damage when you can have fun and go around spamming flashy skills that hits the monster for 6 times!

in sins, luck=acc and att which means a lot of pplz go pure dexless. in warriors/arans they will only equip dex and acc equips only for a specific acc to kill a monster. my opinion is lowdex buccaneers will probably always miss unless they very funded.

[/quote] dex does also give you a slight minimum and maximum damage range increase. OT: i dont overly under rate dex i enjoy having 20 base dex, since I CBF to spend the extra money on funding a dexless aran

[/quote] Almost all classes only have 2 mainstats, so it isn't hard to be one of them when there only is 4 in all. and its underratted because you can get better results in some of the classes by dumping less points in it.
