I'm curious about a few things and was wondering if any of you could help since I've never played a Corsair before. What is the ideal end game weapon? Is a Reverse Gun something that should be used if one has funds? Or would it be better to go with a Gun with a lower Str requirement? Is it OK that I skipped Somersault Kick for Bullet Time since it becomes semi useless in the later jobs? Can I max Grenade over Bullet Time as suggested in guides since it's already maxed? (For fun.) or would it be better to finish off Somersault Kick? Also, since we have so many new areas released...What would be an ideal place to train at level 31-50? Also, does anyone have any suggestions for leveling my Gunslinger or just anything in general?

Ideally (for a fully funded corsair) a reverse gun will far overpower all others, yes. Losing a little bit of dex is nothing compared to the extra attack it adds, if you don't mind reverse weapons in general then go with a blindness. But if you can't afford to 30 or 50% reverse guns and risk them blowing then a concerto is the better choice assuming we don't have vega scrolls. Yes skipping SSK is fine, and the extra avoid from bullet time helps keep your ship alive for slightly longer in fourth job. I'm pretty sure you don't have enough points to max grenade even with max SSK in first job. 31-4x at CPQ free wins, 4x-50 at MP3 still. Good luck with that >___>

I can afford to use 50% / White Scrolls when the time comes, so I think I might just go Reverse. Even if I were to use 30's and have them blow up, I don't have a hard time collecting Pieces Of Time, I can get 45 in about 2-3 days. Oh, would you mind telling me how Ship works? I really don't understand since I've never seen an HP bar on it. :[ Ignore the above, I did a bit of searching and found out how it works! Any suggestions on how to make the best of the Ship? and what to avoid doing with it? Perhaps some combinations of skills/playing styles that help the ship stay unbroken/keep my damage up?

End Game weapon should be like any other class. lvl 100/110/120 weapons respectively, it really depends on whichever one you come across that has best attack. if you decide to make your own, a reverse is easier to scroll for higher attack if anything. I have no idea what guide you're looking up but 1 point into ssk will be sufficient since you probably won't use it at all after 1st job (without strength, the dmg is horrible). As for 2nd job, i can safely say grenade is a very useless skill except for maybe throwing off ledges in cpq in maps 3-4... between levels 31-50, your training will either be CPQ (won't do much but still) or somewhere in magatia (roids n rumos). suggestion for early slingers is have a lot of patience... a lot. if you do manage to reach corsair, your ship won't even be any good till around 130 because it will die every couple of minutes no matter how hard you try to keep it alive due to its low hp. you trying to keep your ship alive will also hinder your training speed. probably one of the reasons why sairs continue to train in newt parties even into the 130s since you can freeze newts before they auto-aggro. At bosses, it will be impossible to avoid every attack. lets use zakum for an example. In zakum your ship will break at the arms a couple of times especially when you're low level. however there are many tricks when you're at the body. Try to get use to its "1/1" warnings and hop off ship as soon as he gives those. also hop off ship when it drops pillars that you cant dodge. The rest you can tank through on ship without problem. If you get stunned while on ship, click out of it via the ship symbol in the top right to avoid it getting hit even more. Homing Beacon and Bullseye is your friend, it will allow you to ignore summons. As for training your sequence should look something like this (at skeles or something). Recoil/Dash/Mount to get from place to place faster. If one skele, you can probably just hop on ship and kill it with cannon before if does anything. If 2+, freeze then hop on ship and kill, hop off, recoil/dash/mount, repeat. its pretty simple. with 1 or 2 monsters, cannon will be faster. with 3+ torpedo will be faster. Later on 150+, your ship will last a very very very long time and you will hardly have to worry about it breaking...
Maybe at bosses, but even at 120 I kept my ship alive for 30 minutes-1 hour on average mobbing with torp at skeles. As long as you know where they spawn so you can avoid standing on those places with ship it isn't to hard to not even get hit at all. Just freeze->attack->make sure to re-freeze before they can attack you if they aren't dead o0
RadicalDreamer : Oh, would you mind telling me how Ship works? The icon appears next to all the other pot icons on your screen and it gradually gets darker, in the same way that timed pots do, as you take more damage to represent how much HP it has. Another thing to consider with your gun is there's a *small* possibility the pirate legend class will use guns just like we do. If you go ahead with a reverse you won't be able to switch over if you wanted to give that class a shot.

Then even if you could keep it alive for that long, a newt party would be better than skeles at 120. Lvl 1 cannon would only hit 3x and it would have similar damage as burstfire ( a lil more, but since you're hopping on and off ship constantly, it'll end up much slower), torpedo will only mob 4 and will hit roughly 10ks (7+ hits to kill a small mob of skele? lol). At newts, you won't have to waste time hopping on and off ship and the party xp would be much better.
It's not hard, I mean go solo skeles and see, it's very easy to solo for a long time without getting hit even once. As long as you know where they spawn anyway, a new player won't but anyone with another character who's trained there before should. Even with level 1 torp it should take 5-6 hits to kill a mob of skeles which actually works out to be about the same as 1 freeze duration with level 1 ele amp. So on mobs of three it's just as fast as having max canon and 2 hitting, and on mobs of 4 it's faster. Not bad at all. Newt party *would* be faster, but I'm just saying, solo'ing skeles isn't so bad and it's definitely possible. Also if you do it right you shouldn't have to demount very often. 1 freeze -> ship-> 5/6 torps-> skele's die, so demount and move on.

Bullet time is better than grenade. Go normal-low str because dex is so much cheaper/easier to scroll for. Cpq is great for level 31~50, but you can try iron mutaes and eventually roids.

First and foremost, lowstr is the way to go. If you mean by skipping SSK for bullet time you left SSk at level 11, that's fine. It has uses here and there and if you wanna PyPQ, it'll be your primary attack. At the end of the second job, you have 11 spare points. It doesn't hurt to stick them in the useless skills. From 40 to 5X, the PyPQ is a good place.

Thank you all for the responses. I managed to get my hands on a 94 attack hammered once Peacemaker, I think that should hold me until I can get to 130+ and start hunting for pieces of time to scroll myself a good gun.
