If there was a mega wipe

So if there was a huge wipe in MapleStory, and every character, mesos, and items (even in storage) were all wiped would you still play? I think it would completely screw the economy and inflation would be through the roof by the first people who manage to go on a good gacha run. However, there would be new legends of the first five to get to level 200, or scroll godly items and such. So would you still play?

I voted first option but this option would of been nice "I don't play anymore, but if there was a wipe Id return IF wiped players had some compensation" Considering getting to 200 must of been a gigantic chore and I would want some item stating that I was level 200 before hand.

It would have some massive effects, although I don't think they should do it, the amount of people who would leave would hurt the overall profit, making it a bad business move.

Many who invested in NX would quit. I'd be dedicated to race to 200, though. After that, make a CK (after I do quests to get GFA and scrolls to help establish/stabilize the econ.). :p

That might be fun if they created like a mirror maplestory that would be entirely fresh and new, but people could still have their old accounts and hard work. Oh wait... That's just the same thing as a new server I guess. Suddenly this post seems entirely useless... Anyway I think it would cause more quitting than anything good, but I might still enjoy it.

Sadly with the way maplestory is right now I think a few days of downtime and a wipe would do some good. @Above: You must be thinking wrong. A wipe would effect EVERY Server meaning everyone starts fresh so when a new world pops up they cannot just go "Oh I am going to play my 1xx in "x" server" Or world transfer when the MTS comes.

Also those who would quit would be corrupt and do not want to face starting anew, maybe it will make them realize how bad they treat newbies.

[/quote] Well what I had meant was that I thought it would be fun if instead of wiping they just created another maplestory that people could play on, but then I realized that that's pretty much what new servers are. Maybe I'm just being confusing, i seem to do that a lot. But on the idea of wiping the entire game, it would definitely be good for some things as you were saying, but Nexon couldn't take the loss of so many of its devoted high level players (and NXcash buyers). It seems a little impractical to me is all.

I don't play anymore. I still wouldn't play. The selfish jerks who think they run the game would go crazy and try to get to 200 and stuff and ruin everything again. Is it worth it? Probably not.
