Who is the best rapper alive? (reminder: they have to be ALIVE) best rapper meaning best overall rhyming ability, best beats, most hits, etc. In my opinion its lil wayne. No doubt.

Alive: D-Lo, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, Andre Nickatina, Mistah Fab, The Pack, Wu-Tang Clan(R.I.P ODB), Method Man(Solo career) Dead: the one and only mac dre, thizzelle washington, pill clinton, ronald dreagan, mac dre ghost, mac dreezy and any other nicknames for the best rapper to ever come out of the bay area, man scratch that, best rapper to EVER come out a rapper that would dip-n-yoke quicker than he could pimp-n-smoke, flows that hit your ears harder than Ike hit Tina. Forced to serve a Nickle but would never drop a Dime. K.C watch out cause the Bay's down like four flats on a Cadilac.

Everyone who hates on Lil' Wayne obviously doesn't how to categorize a good rapper. You have to take into considerations all their achievements. Lil' Wayne isn't one of my favorites, but he has a MASSIVE fan base and he's made quite a name for himself. Making him probably one of the best rappers alive. Taking into consideration the criteria the TS gave us, I think the best would be Lupe, Blu, Kweli, MF Doom or Bro Ali. Idk man, there's just so many good rappers out there without any hype, which is unfortunate.

Not too intense into the rap genre but rappers I enjoy listening to are Lupe Fiasco, T.I., Kanye West and DEFINITELY Kardinal Offishall (<- Canadian AND awesome) More hardcore however, my fav would be Nas. Also, there's a lot of amazing rappers out there that aren't very well-known.

Drizzy Drake's my favorite, but he's not the best. IMO, JayZ's the best rapper alive atm.
