I'd like to address this to everyone on basil who panics, buys into hysteria etc. Nexon is a solid company that runs many games with a pretty small team. They work dilligently to make us happy. I say bravo! People as in life who abuse rules and set boundries nake for your angst. The rescent chaos issue is a pain, the simple solution when something like this that happens is don't buy them from the people who abuse it.. My simple rant, Dan-

[/quote] Yes I completely agree with this state, Nexon needs to be able to predict the future to eliminate all instances of hacking exploits from plaguing our game! Nexon needs to be more willing to satisfy the majority of the maple population that is ignorant to know how to run a business. Nexon needs to end all instances of discrimination and police what goes on in-game just like totalitarian regimes govern over their people; an iron fist I may add. Nexon needs to be able to satisfy our needs IMMEDIATELY no matter how short-term, or irrelevant the plead is for EVERY SINGLE individual that plays Maplestory over the other games that the company currently manages on such a small staff. /end mockery

Great rant. You should also have mentioned that what makes people think that Nexon could have prevented these hacks from happening? Who is to say that the "hackers" aren't as smart (or smarter) than the nexon employees? Just because people work for a big company like Nexon doesn't mean that they will be able to prevent people from hacking; people who are probably smarter and more skilled at finding errors with the code than Nexon. Also, Nexon is on a time limit with their patches/events. They have 12 hours to get a fully working patch, and error check it as well. If it is extended for slightly longer than that, all hell breaks loose! These hackers took more than 10 days to figure out this chaos scroll hack. I am sure that if you were all willing to wait 10 days for Nexon to patch the game, this wouldn't be happening.

This was Sunday.. I don't think you understand that programmers don't work 24/7. And as for it's hard not to buy.. Well sure. It's impulse control. It's the same feeling you get when scrolling too much away or take money out from your parents etc. I respect nexon, no company is flawless

People who didn't buy it just got screwed over. I already see people buying them for 40m each in fm entrance (probably lower than what you can get) when they were 5-10m each yesterday. I just lost about 1b profit

They were plenty of discussions about this "VIP" hack coming BEFORE the event, here on Basil. And they should use some of the money they make to hire somebody to monitor thoses hack sites to see whats coming to them.

Guys, You can only predict... There is no magic 8 ball nexon has to foresee this happening. Sure they could have tested there own product with available packet editors etc.. That is the only thing I could see being missed on.. The point is still that nexon makes a game you all still play and enjoy. They are not the one messing with game play to the extent these people abusing it are.

[/quote] True enough, the question really is, how does Nexon structurally run it's business. If it's in a bureaucratic form in which there are specific staff working solely on one game in it's entirety, then it's reasonable to see there is often misinformation when assessing the current issues going on with a game, not just maplestory.
