Am I doing well as a new player?

My friends introduced me to MS and BasilMarket and I was instantly in love with the gameplay and graphics I suppose I am a lot better off than most new players of MS, considering I had help from friends (training spots, guides etc) and a little bit of items from them. Nothing too big though. So am I doing okay? So far: Level 40 All my level 38-40 equips except glove and shoe (oh and still no cape) 1 Teleport and maxed heal Training at Pyramid thing. Add Syazaki in game to help me out some more if you think it's required And I'm not asking for items, just tips and advice. Thanks!

You're actually doing average, but seeing as you are having a blast, I think you are doing great! It isn't about the damage or the stats, rather, how much fun you have.

If you don't know already, don't expect any great things out of Nexon. I would say you're doing well, you seem to have fun. Don't listen to BloodDrill, money is not a neccesity to have fun. :D

having fun is all that matters, if u want a cape thou then lpq or buy it, its the easiest way

Seriously. Don't get obsessed with damage. Stay with a cleric to appreciate the true fun in engaging in the community that is Maplestory rather than becoming obsessed with the rat race for better equips and damage.

[/quote] I never wanted to join the rat race, I enjoy being the small man at the back of the crowd but being extremely relied on for healing. It's fun. Also, my friend gave me some steelies. Should I sell them?

i used to get mad if i lost even an hour of time i could've been playing maple, and i used to ignore my homework and general schoolwork playing maplestory, worst thing you can do, school, work, etc. all the important things come first b4 this game, i had to learn that kind of the hard way, i ruined my grades, but i fixed them , a lot of people go through that, not all of them though

as long as you're having fun then that's good enough don't listen to other people that tells you your damage sucks..they're mostly damage wh0res who just likes to show off sell things you don't need like scrolls, equips, etc lol and yes..sell the steelies if you don't need them lol i'd sell them to someone you trust if you don't know the price and most importantly just relax and have fun =P (sorry if i repeated anything anyone said)
