messed up my priest build?

Well I recently became a priest and was really excitied about it, and I thought the best build was the HS build and was really excited about getting it. At 70, I put 1 sp into Shining Ray but then after I leveled I instantly put 3 into dispel, and the next nevel 3 into holy symbol because someone wanted me to go to himes with them and told me to max HS. But afterwards people told me that the Shining Ray build is a lot faster, and theres a new exp formula (the person who kills gets 80% instead of 60% which would be really bad exp for me since I wouldn't atk) I currently I have 1 SP into Shining Ray 3 into Dispel 3 into Holy Symbol I was wondering if I should put points into Shining Ray starting now instead of Holy Symbol, but I would be 6 SPs behind and weaker than most priests so should I just stick with Holy Symbol? Im sooo confused! Can someone suggest anything D:

I think you should just MagatiaPQ, you won't attack a lot and you will probably do Himes at 8x so keep with Holy Symbol!

Well, you already have 3 in hs, and party training isn't way worse than solo train in your 7x's. Just max holy symbol and go to galloperas partys or himes.

Either way is do-able, it all depends on whether you want to be stuck with Claw or not till 81. [or HA if you put points into that]

Your a whole 2 levels behind in Shining Ray. That's nothing. Just max ray and worry about HS later. Use your hunters luck/rep until then. I screwed up mine by putting my first point into thunder spear instead of Ice strike. (I know it's not the same but it's a similar mage problem) But putting SP into a skill you will max later anyways is okay. You are fine. Just follow the build normaly and in like 17 levels it will even out completley. Until then you will only be behind like 200 damage.

Ugh @ the poll results x.x I'd strongly recommend Shining Ray. Going HS first is NOT in your best interests now that party experience has gone all screwy; Holy Symbol will do your friends a lot of good, but it won't do YOU a whole lot of good until you can kill on your own effectively. Even with two levels already in HS, I'd suggest you move towards maxing SR asap.

Actually I figured that I should be maxig SR first since I won't be going to gallops/himes till way later and HS wont really do anything for me now since I mpq, so I might as well max SR first then HS. thnx for the help

SR is of no use to you before gallops and HS actually benefits YOU more than your party members.

It wont make much of a difference in the end, but I think shining Ray is much better to max first and then do HS since your best experience at your level will probably be grinding solo at jesters spamming heal and SR.

your suppose to mmax sr at like 93 so max hs then elemental after that dispel then sr

max SR but dont use ur hunters exp yet,once u have SR at 15 i think or max go to gallos and in less than those 3 hours of 2xp u will have HS half or more than half way max.. thats what ill do imo..and train alone better exp

Max Holy Symbol first, and then Elemental, and then Shining Ray or Dispel.
