Can you train being non-funded?

Ever since my page made back in early '07 I've been a damage hoar. I find it hard to train without a work glove, the latest stars, purple ~ gold weapons, etc etc. Even on my mules I have scrolled equips specified for those characters. I find it almost impossible to train without funding anymore, with the exception of clerics.

of course you can train... just not on more advanced monsters on your level. Just stick to stuff u can kill easily

I usually dont give my chars anything til lvl 50 i also dont scroll weapons with anything but 100%s til their final weapon

I actually train better when i'm unfunded. Being poor gives me the drive to actually want to level up and get more money/better equips.

It's so-and-so for me. I can train unfunded but not on my main characters. Like, side-characters are fine to train with simple equips but when I don't have good equips on my main, I just feel too unmotivated to train. :v Though by good equips, I just mean ones that are above-average, not uber-golden/purple-godly. I can live without those.

Me too, I just can't train on non-funded chars, it makes me feel bored of the specific char and even basic items such as 6 atk work gloves won't do. I need to get some funding for the char otherwise I'll quit it @ level 30-40

I've never been funded. I make one character per world.

My Aran is unfunded (but i gave it a +8atk wg) my Pirate is 5mill funded my Mage is under funded (he makes the mesos and then gives it away )

my drk was origanlly unfunded so ya i can... however i do see your point is much more easier to train when your funded and much less demoralizing.
