Please note I'm not trying to troll, I'll end the thread if things get out of hand. So, from what I've been taught, God gave us Free Will. This means that at one point, we did not have free will. Why would God give us free will if we had none to begin with, thus no ability to desire this free will that was given to us? If he did it because he himself wanted to, wouldn't that mean he supposedly created everything for his own personal amusement/gain?

You just don't understand god, no one does.

So we wouldn't be "robots". Apparently God has so little imagination, free will and love can only exist with the suffering we see in this world.

aznsealSo, from what I've been taught, God gave us Free Will. This means that at one point, we did not have free will. I don't understand why you think that. iirc, when God made Adam, Adam had free will. God just told Adam not to eat from the forbidden tree. Adam chose to disobey when the apple was given to him. Choosing to disobey shows free will.

People have always had free will. Also, end the thread? I really doubt you can do that.

What if God is a cynical bastard that enjoys laughing at humans and sees this as one giant omnipotent sitcom?

A paradox, you see.
It wasn't imposed. We were made with free will from the start. It's like saying a screen was imposed on an ipod because there was no screen before it was made. I really can not believe the great lengths y'all are willing to go lol. Not everything is circular and paradoxical in nature.

Will you stop referring everything to god? Has anyone actually thought of the fact that what and why things happen the way they do is entirely up to you?
You choose to see it as imposed. I choose to see it as there from the start. You're fighting a circular argument that most people don't care about. Right now you just look like the thorn at the side poking around hoping to hit a vital organ. It's not working. EDIT: So by your logic, your race is imposed on you. Your hair color is imposed on you also. If that's how you think, then lol.

U don't understand, We've always had free will. we didn't even exist yet, to even say we didn't have free will. we were created with free will. what is there to discuss before that point of time, we didn't have free will over wether we wanted to be born/created or not?
