How much funding does it take to make a lukless mage

Well, evans are coming up and i want to know how much money it would talk to make a lukless one. its not going to be my main so i dont really want to spend a lot of money on it, but i always hear that making a lukless mage is easy. So how much money does it take and how hard is it to train?

Practically none at all. If you want to be an uber godly lukless mage then 500mil+.

It costs nothing asside of pots ;O. You can just use a beginner wand/ paintbrush and still be fine xD. If you want to be as strong as possible here's a list of standard equips (some decent BUT NOT godly) 9int/15 earrings magic attack (atm around 150-250mish) 8 int 8 magic attack puac (around 65mish) 9int 9 magic attack wgs (around 300mish-350mish) 20 int bathrobe (around 250mish) 6 int 12 magic attack ms shield (around 400mish) 17 int clean zhelm (65-70mish) 3 int clean yss (50mish) x int 98 magic att maple wisdom staff (around 250-300mish) ht pend (225mish-250mish in pop servers/ 400-500mish in mid pop servers/ 600-700mish+ in empty servers) **dep star (40-45mish) Avg total cost of the standard funded mage (Again, you can always use a LOT better ints but this is just a rough estimate) approx 1.702 bil (w/o an ht).

ahh. well i only have 140 mil right now and i haven't really equipped my main properly yet. so i guess im going regular luk.

On this character I was pretty much stripped until 130+ (Because in yellonde mts wasn't out yet and ints were impossible to find). Even as a lukless, all you really need is the beginner wand (which is free), a lv 30 paintbrush (which is sold by an npc in showa for 120kish or so), and either a decent scrolled maple shine/ wisdom wand/ staff, black umbrella, or possibley a kebob. If you want to see some big numbers on the other hand, it might be smart to invest in int earrings, a puac, and a zhelm (since int shields, gloves, and overalls are pricey).

Lukless are very strong even if you are broke. A 100%ed lv 8 wand will last until 64 and match the other normal luk users welly on the standards of both characters lukless and normal luk having an equivalent amount of currency. If you add on some decent funding, you will become superior. Aim for the earrings/zhelm/puac first. The robe/shield comes next because they are exceedingly expensive ^^

[/quote] He scared you off with the equipment list, fact is it isn't needed right off the bat, and a lot of those things he listed a regular luck or low luck magician would need as well. What will benefit you for being luckless is that you can concentrate on an item since chances are that item will either last you a long time or forever. All you really need to be pretty good is a level 30/35 weapon (unsure how Evans will behave with weapons that aren't wands or staffs), and a level 64 staff/wand. With that you are pretty set and already spent less money than regular luck and still out damaging a lot of them unless they invested a lot more money into their equips than you have, which for them it is a LOT more.

[/quote] Yup. The equipment list was just showing the avg equips that mages tend to have (an in-between to nada vs all perfect ints). Most lukless mages will often not even use ints as the extra 100 base int already makes them superior to reg luk mages. If you did NOT want to fund your evan though, just use a paintbrush until 64 then buy a clean lv 64 maple wand/staff and either 100% it or 60% it.
