| I am a smoker myself, so my opinion may be biased but i'll try not to be so confronting as Chris Crocker LOL. (It was quite a funny video I must say). First of all, to the people who don't know... smoking is bad for you. (obviously) don't ask why I do, I just got into the habit of it. I don't want to smoke either. Damn addictive crap inside that stick. But, you do realise, that banning smoking is restricting/limiting peoples 'rights'. It is someone's choice to smoke, whether it be in their own home or in the open air in public places. Banning smoking in public places is a little too far. But banning smoking ENTIRELY is not a good idea. The reason I say this is, smoking addicts - how will they cope without their morning cigarette? I smoke a pack a day unfortunately. If this happened in Australia, I would probably go nuts. People don't realise how addictive cigarettes really are once you get into the hang of it. One cigarette turns into having another, then another. You begin from there. And from there, you gain a habit of smoking.... It's hard to give up. And for me, if I don't have a cigarette atleast every 2 hours, I begin craving. (As sad as that sounds). Obama's decision to ban smoking everywhere and even not being able to smoke in your own home, I mean come on. That's just rediculous.. People need their own freedom. Fine, non-smokers may get highly irritated when there are people smoking in their faces, but it's not hard to ignore that. As Chris Crocker says, just hold your breath. It's not like you're going to sufficate because there are 50 people lined up waiting for you to walk past so they can purposely blow their smoke and into your lungs. Not the case at all. BTW, if Obama puts this in action, oh god. Smokers will probably go insane. Not in a good way. And last thing, I'm assuming that in the US you cannot smoke at public indoor areas - e.g bars, restaurants, nightclubs whatnot. But, the furthest Obama should go with this, is banning smoking at certain areas. Schools and so on, or even atleast putting signs at certain places saying you can't smoke. If you do, you get fined. By banning smoking altogether will just turn into chaos and I'm pretty sure the USA is a free country. Thanks. (that's only my opinion) |

| I think they should be banned. There is NOTHING good about them. Not one aspect. Pollution, shortening lifespans and purely a disgusting habit. No, no, no. |

EDIT: @Mechadax, well the nicotine are in the cigarettes aren't they? :P Would love to find cigarettes without nicotine, but why smoke for if they made such a thing. Plus they won't since those greedy tobacco companies only want our money <3. |

| The only thing that is stopping cigarettes from being banned is the money the government is getting out of it. That's why they really can't and won't ban smoking. |
