Nexon made the wrong decision on banning, in my opinion.

I think its a load of bull crap to ban for any of them. "KSing, holding maps (i.e. Zakum), foul language, harassment, scamming, mass defaming" KSing = Just CC or get guildies to KS; no way to prove who is the KSer in a real situation. Holding maps = Yes, should be banned for Foul language = Some people dont swear on occasion, so they should watch to see if the person swears often. Harassment = The person probably has a reason, if not, get over it and move on. Scamming = Dont be stupid enough to allow yourself to get scammed; problem solved. Mass defaming = Should be allowed, some 100% legit players mass defame people that do things to them and then get banned. I think Nexon is ridiculous. I think they should ban for hacking, and hacking ONLY. If you get scammed, its your fault. Simple as that... I bet more innocent people get banned for a less serious incident than people doing serious things. I was banned for who-knows-what and im sure many other people were, while these hackers (I.E. Minta) dont get banned at all. Its stupid and i honestly think Nexon should ban ONLY people they witness hacking and no one else, unless someone says like "GM suck my ****," in that case they should be banned. Discuss please? =( Also 30 days is really way too long for just mass defaming or foul language or holding maps or KSing...

That's from 2007... I don't think they've actually enforced a lot of those things they've said they're going to do from that notice.

[/quote] I was banned for 1month and i dont do any of them and yea, i didnt notice the date on it...i thought it was recent...lol I got banned 2 days after using a 30-day 2x card (19,000 NX) in which i bought by selling my Spectrum Goggles. So Nexon has scammed me of my Spectrum Goggles, therefore making them the true culprit here... I just think banning should be only done to people that hack. Scammers are only able to scam because kids are stupid enough to allow themselves to be scammed. I know grown-up friends that have never been scammed 'cause they dont share their account and trust NO ONE that they dont know iRL.

Obviously with all the recent hackings and general problems going on within the community, it's obvious that Nexon is not doing what they said they would do three years ago. Hopefully they will start doing this again soon.

Too many innocent people get banned.

I see scammers all the time and the people who I've seen harrass and KS other people for years in their guilds have never been banned. I don't see how this is an issue as ksing/scamming goes on 24/7 and I personally have never seen anyone banned for these actions. This is Nexon we're talking about. I mean heck, Nexon's "accidentally" banning their own innocent players. I doubt they even care to ban ksers/scammers.

[/quote] No it isn't, DO NOT KS, DO NOT HARASSING PLAYERS, how is the game fun if you can get a full guild of people to defame someone? Or a guild to KS and not be able to play a game, now instead of a 3 day ban they are enforcing what NEEDS to be done. Also they can get a command like !player or something that tells how long someone has been in a certain map to determine who was first. You cannot KS now want a bandage for that boo boo?

[/quote] KSing: CCing isnt the always a solution, and ksing is one way one player purposely Ruins the gaming experience of another player. We all have an equal privledge, so no one has the right to ruin the game for you or anyone else. Holding maps: Such an onld term, but why say yes people should be banned for this when you later say only hacking should be banable? Foul Language: Pointless, but its their game. Harrassment: how do you get over a guild that has decided to KS you or DC hack you every time they saw you online? Its not that easy to get over harrassment and often leaves you to give up on your character(for now at least) and is a major infringment on your privledge to play, like with KSing. Scamming: So it's the victim's fault? Thats pretty damn rude blaming the vicitm. Not to mention we cant all be completly knowledgable about every scam, and some people are new to the game and are taken advantage of. Mass Defaming: You cant justify a wrongful act with "everyone does it." The bandwagon approach is pathetic. Its improper abuse of the fame system, and why nexon was against it (but they really should just toss out fame... no one ever uses it properly)
