Pure Spear, Good or Bad?

I'm going to make a Spearman and am going to be pure spear. I am wondering if I will regret becoming pure spear and at which levels and why. Thanks

Level 30-200 or so. Maybe level 10-30 too if you don't just use Swords like most Swordsmen do. Why? Well, 30-75 Spears do less damage no matter what. 75-130, Spears train slower. And the rest of the time you'll be more limited than a hybrid, for what? You're really not getting anything good out of being pure Spear.

Idk if I understand hybrid that well.
