iPad? Good or Bad?

So apparently the Ipad's starting price is $499.99 and has alot of apps similar to the iPhone. I'd say thats prety good, but it doesn't support Flash for whatever reason and it seems like its easy dropable, and awquard to use. Should I buy one when it comes out?

I personally thing it's a good thing to have at home, to watch movies on while on the bed, etc. But all I really care about is the internet and movie watching. What else can it do...?

Honestly I find it easier to use in my mind compared to a netbook. Although a netbook has a lot more features, the iPad is easier to navigate. The price and how much you need to maintain it is another thing. An Invisible Shield screen protector is going to be like $50-$100. I can see myself using it more at home than outside.

If there's one lesson I learned from seeing my friends, never buy the first generation of anything. They always go out and buy the first thing they can get with the bitten Apple logo and they always end up throwing it away.

What would someone EVER use an IPAD for? Watching PR0n in the bathroom? I mean seriously, this thing is like 500 bucks for a big version of the ipod. Everything is on screen touch so its not like I am going to be writing an essay on it. The most I'd ever do is watch movies, listen to music, and surf the web, all of which I can do on my iphone. Maybe draw when im bored. This thing seems more practical for medical professionals. Id rather get a nice netbook that I can play maple on.

Look at the first iPhone and compare it to the 3GS now. It makes the iPhone 2G look like crap.

i might buy it for the sole reason that apparently it has 10 hours of battery life and i like to watch movies (especially on a bigger screen) and i hate plane rides. so the sole reason for me is to watch movies and kill plane ride times. if ur like me, buy it
