Note:I know for a fact that many of you will not agree. Everything in this passage, including my opinions, is the truth, and most of you can't take the truth, but please just read. I'd love to hear your responses. -Hateful comments won't phase me, so don't waste your time. Maplestory is a conspiracy. Maplestory is full of subliminal messages that make you crave the game. Nexon charges you real currency, so that you can buy NX cash to get things in the cash shop, all to make your character look more appealing to others. Nexon has made it totally clear that they support a bunch of adolescents hooking up online by encorporating crush rings and marriages into the game. It's just not right that while people in prosperous countries and families have the luxury to buy NX using real money, and other families in poorer countries can barely afford food, and not yet a house to shelter their family. Children and teenagers of maplestory feel obliged to buy NX because the more appealing their character, the better treated they are (online). Let's be honest, most of you aren't very attractive in person. But because of that, you look to this game as a chance to be something you aren't. I am almost positive that Maplestory ultimately ruins your confidence. By putting all of that pride and confidence into playing Maplestory, you have little to none in real life. I can assure that many of you have pets that you should take care of but would better yet be online. Nexon is, in fact, an online dating game. They provide you with various pages, in the cash shop, full of crush rings and wedding ceremonies. With a game full of adolescent teenagers and some 13- children, this isn't a good idea at all. For those of you who DO have online bf/gf's you don't know for sure what the other person looks like or has in mind. 6/10 of you will subject yourself to your online lover and do the unthinkable; meeting them in person. Most of you will find yourself in a lot of trouble and less than some of you will actually get to meet the person you expected. While children/teenagers of America, Canada, and the wealthy portions of Asia, have parents who can afford NX cash, still many families are left without food and shelter. I've managed to donate and contribute some of the money I would use on nx, (but I've come to my senses) as aid to many of the countries like Chile and Haiti who need all the money and help they can get. I can assure you that donating money to a cause has a better feeling and outcome than spending it on NX. Many of you who are merchants in the FM (free market), buy the 1.8k stores which require you to be online to sell things. Most of you like to play during daylight and open up a store to leave overnight. What a waste of electricity! You may say "What's one person leaving their computer on/plugged in overnight going to do?" All of you who play know that millions of other people do just the same. actually nexon does not force you to buy nx. It is the person themselves who don't have have self control. Just because nexon gives the option of having nx and allowing your character to look 'better' is does not mean you have to. As to the whole dating thing, ms is not an online dating game. True they do gives you the option to get married and have rings but that doesn't qualify that game as being an online dating game. It would be saying that basically all games would be dating games because most games do have that option. It is just an imply for nexon to make money, which is the goal of basically all games. Also that whole donating buisness, you just can't say that people should not buy nx because it is there money. I'm sure people have donated money to the needy. The way you say it is that people should never buy nx and give the money all to the poor and have no money left over for their own pleasures.

vintage, I know I have burned about 30minutes writing and posting this, but I don't think it was a waste at all. fun2killu, nexon doesn't force you to do anything but that's exactly why they encorporate subliminal messages into the game. They make you force yourself, and even though it sounds phony, it's the way it is.

The matter of the fact is that the person themselves has no self-control. You have to blame the person themselves not the company because the goal of the company is to get money. It is a matter of do you truly need it or do u just want it.

I play this game with my real life fiance. We are both successful young adults who enjoy maple as a way to relax and have a little bit of fun. We have real life friends who play, sometimes they come over and play maple with us. Most of my online maple friends are well adjusted working young adults, if they want to spend money on a game that is their business. THERE ARE MUCH WORSE GAMES OUT THEIR THAN MAPLE! Go look at Wow and SecondLife if you want to see lifesucking games at work. Don't just assume that everyone in Maple is 12 years old, most of the good high lvls are not. It honestly sounds to me you are jealous that you cant buy nx and no one want to marry you in game. Oh and btw your argument is cyclical and/or redundant at best.
