Now, I know a lot of people have been asking if this or that is a better end-game weapon. Well, it all depends. I've taken into factor a few things to note before you guys start. ~The weapon speed will of course increase your "dpm" ~As power gradually increases the speed will stay the same and will be harder to match up to the higher attack reverse weapons later on (I'm not quite sure who said it, but it's a variable in question). ~The ratio of difference in speed vs. attack ~From 0 to 100 combos What will be the outcome of these 2 at around "150", if the Arglaive was a 120 att, while the Diesra was "xxx att". (Not sure on the ratio so I'll leave it up to the crafters of Basil" This was not intended to create an argument, just fact vs facts. *Thinking caps on ~ Learn!*

Being a " I love damage " type of person but not a "DANG THIS PERSON BEATS MY DPS by 1050 DMG GRR." Type of person.. I find I prefer the feeling of using a Normal speed weapon. Not saying that one is better than another but I think its all on personal preference when using a certain speed weapon and that we shouldn't take this into account so much.

[/quote] I agree with you. I love seeing high damage, but I don't really care about dps or dpm. As long as I have a powerful weapon and do high damage I'm fine. I don't care if I get 70% an hour with normal speed wep and get 60% an hour with a slow speed wep...its not that big of a deal.

I'll use this question to test my experimental formula: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1408242/0/Preliminary_Aran_quotDPMquotformula_v10.html# Time = 1 minute STR/DEX = 900/80 Base attack = 80 (241.6*((900*4.525+80)*(((120+80)-5.5)/100))*1.1) + (((900*4.525+80)*((120+80)/100)*16.2)*1.1*44.4444)(1-((60/44.4444)/3)) = 5,764,091.96 (241.6*((900*4.525+80)*(((156+80)-5.5)/100))*1.1) + (((900*4.525+80)*((156+80)/100)*16.2)*1.1*38.4615)(1-((60/38.4615)/3)) = 5,767,734.78 156 Diesra to beat a 120 Arcglave.

As for the debate, I guess your somewhat true, but many people do play this game to be the best of their capability.

arcglaive will always be better than a diesra when bossing and training unless the diesra is like super godly like 155+AT&T but yea alotta people like seeing high numbers I'd rather kill faster then see high numbers though but that's just my opinion

Many people want to reach that range, but seems like the plausible way to reach that much would be to equip a Diesra or another slow weapon. I'm not being biased as I don't use an Arcglaive, but it does seem like this will help many on which they'd like to chose. They can choose to either see high damage, or faster dpm with lower damage results.

Arcglaves are fast. Diesras are slow. I hate slow weapons. Q.E.D. I think Arglaves win. :D (Remember this is only an opinion, not a truth).

Slow weapon 8 = Hits harder Fast weapon = Faster hits ~ Faster combos ~ Higher dmg in short period of time? Is this what you were trying to say?

More damage = more damage per hit. Faster weapon = more hits. More hits + more damage per hit = more hits with more damage.

I always prefer a normal speed weapon. I don't care as much about power (though it is important) but having a normal/fast speed weapon over a slow ass one makes training much easier and smoother.
